World Elite leaving NGL One? *

infi, like, lyn, reign, reis, remind, sky, soju, suho, ted, world elite

World EliteSurprisingly, the German manager of the Asain squad of team World Elite, Clemens "HoTLiPs" Uhlig kicked all of his players from the active squad in their NGL One profile.

Some rumours came up already that the whole team will be disqualified from the NGL One, or have to leave by themselves, and this time it seems like these rumours are true.

Now their are only HoTLiPs, zax and king left in the team, as even reis has been kicked from the team.

The entire wc3 community awaits a statement from HoTLiPs, as we wish to find out whether WE.IGE.ASIA is really disbanding or just retiring from the NGL-One, either way, everyone is curious as to the desicion made.

King, manager of WE.IGE. just gave a statement to wNv-Gaming :

"It was largely because of the match against sCa, there were a lot of problems and NGL isn't a league that suits most Asian teams"

Now it's official, World Elite leaves the NGL One. reis, manager of WE.IGE gave a statement to this retirement:

WE.IGE leaving NGL ONE. First of all thx to NGL ONE for their great patience and giving us the time to think about our decision. Now after 2 weeks it is official that WE.IGE wont play NGL ONE anymore. There are some reasons why we had to leave the league. First of all the first playday wasnt that smooth for us, host probs and a lot of stress with the internet in china. It is not that easy for the chinese players to play with such bad conditions. At the beginning of NGL ONE there was the option for WE.IGE to play at ngl one in the first season but WE.IGE refused because of the costs that WE would have with the travel to germany but nevertheless WE joined Season 2 of NGL ONE without thinking deeply about it. When it came to the budget to send the players it was a tough negotiation with the management because they werent that happy about us participating at NGL ONE in the first place.  Of course they were happy that we won the Season 2 of the NGL ONE but at the current situation we have to focus at WC3L and last season was really tough for the korean players participating in both leagues. I hope our fans can understand our step even though it came all of the sudden.

A big „Thank you“ to NGL ONE for the great Season 2 and the awesome stay in Berlin.
Micha thank you for everything that you did for us!!

We wish them good luck for their future.

Christopher Suhr -
Sad to see WE.IGE leaving the team. Wonder if their would have been another solution, but in the end it's their decision. Good luck to them, hope to see them back in other major tournaments soon.

1/2 of we.ige is korean.
they also have european managers. so nope sir robih, both teams have korean and chinese players. that cant be the reason it doesnt work for them...

Personally I believe its about having the right people organising the matches, people who are used to the stress and the usual bs with the opponents who live 5K miles away, seems like they weren't up for that match and take the easy way out imo.

You win some, you lose and you live with the unpleasant things, trust me we have our share of trouble when it comes to the same things and you don't see us pull out of NGL.

I don't see how King can give such a statement as both seasons have been won by teams dominated by asian players, and last season even had an all asian player battle.
Only thing I see he could mean is structure wise, but WE have germans to run the day to day organisational part of the team in leagues so even that doesn't make much sense.

maybe it explains the step we made a little bit but I really don't understand your comment mark, since it has not much to do with organisational stuff ;)

#17 Hottie i like you, you know that, but there is nothing in that statement that doesn't justify what I prior said. I'm not blaiming you, but your organisation as a whole. Speak up in public if you have such problems, I can't see how NGL can twinkle their way away with that the team that won the NGL this season leaves because of something which is unsaid, bad rules, other teams or players behavious? Well then ask them to change the rules then, don't just leave the ship, because it won't sink just because you leave it mate, that would take a lot of teams combines for it to do that ;)

So as I so often have said before:

"Why run, without backup - if you can argue your way out, it will save you both face and strenght not doing so."

And that is what I mean with the easy way out, prove me wrong?

In my opinion(just my opinion) the keywords of King's state ment was: "When it came to the budget to send the players it was a tough negotiation with the management because they werent that happy about us participating at NGL ONE in the first place". Maybe management said no more? I dunno I wasnt there, but as most things in life problems usually revolve around money.

The only thing Hotlips tries to do is blaming other people for the internal problems of WE.IGE once again.

First of all it's a money issue and has nothing to do with the league itself, sCa or sb. else. But why confess it when you can try to blame others? Not speaking of the troubles the koreans had to face to attend the finals in germany. Time will tell.

Hello everyone again. Today I want to give another statement concerning our exit of NGL-One. I was really not fair in my attitude towards the NGL organisation. I want to say sorry for blaming the organisational performance and professionalism of the league and the truth is that there are financial reasons which make us leaving the league and some possible changes inside the team in the future as well. The team had a nice stay in Berlin at the Finals and without the help of NGL the trip would not have such a successful end. Please forgive me if I have damaged the image of the league. It was never my goal to do that.

With kind regards,
Clemens “HoTLiPs” Uhlig

I think you guys did the right thing, don't worry about the image of the league coz we understand what happened and financial problems sometimes makes us make rly tough decisions.
So GL and hope everything will b fixed for a coming period
