Check-Six goes WoW

5v5, arena, check, ladder, six, team, wow

United State- Check-Six announces acquisition of Premier "World of Warcraft" 5v5 Arena Team and Sponsorship of Top Guild "Insurrection".

From United State- Check-Six news: "ZERG IT DOWN is currently the #2 ranked team in the Bloodlust Battlegroup and from now on it will be representing Check-Six.

ZERG IT DOWN is currently part of Insurrection, a group that has recently earned themselves the reputation of being one of the few guilds in the World of Warcraft community finding their way to the top of both aspects of the game.

The team’s goal is to reach #1 and with the help of Check-Six they see this not far out of reach.

Although the 5v5 team and its members will become part of the Check-Six organization, Insurrection as a guild will retain their name as they have worked hard to build their image in the community. With the support of Check-Six we are confident that both the 5v5 team and Insurrection will be able to reach their goals in furthering themselves in the World of Warcraft scene."

United State- stexx (leader):

"Personally, I see great potential in the arena system as long as Blizzard continues to update and support the PvP system and keeps gear in check while fixing a lot of the minor bugs currently in the game. I look forward to continuing to learn as a team and excel in the bloodlust bracket and then see what the world has to offer in Korea."

United State- Uthgar (co-leader):

"World of Warcraft is an interesting game because it compels those who play it in a way no other game does. Within it, there is a separate world where people are known and develop habits, doing a multitude of things each day. I mean a pro CS player, logs on and plays his games with his team, but a WOW player does a variety of things that encompass PvE and PvP during his time logged in. The other unique aspect of this game is the amount of character customization available. This opens up many interesting options for PvP; however it contains a lot of pitfalls for imbalances. I think with Blizzard’s strong patch support and the immense popularity of this game, over time things can shape up to be extremely interesting especially if they observe top rated arena games. Who knows, they may have to end up normalizing gear for competitive arena."

United State- Check-Six WoW Roster:
  • United State- Brendan 'trance' Coyle - Priest
  • Canada Dev 'xqtr' Sahota - Warlock
  • United State- Kevin 'moochi' Cheung - Shaman
  • United State- Chris 'chicane' Kang - Mage
  • United State- Ken 'kenchow' Chow - Warrior
  • United State- Maximillian 'medz' Pennacchi - Paladin
  • United State- Ryan 'hoodwink' Sherman - Hunter
United State- Check-Six.WoW will be attending the rumored WSVG which will be supporting the WoW 5v5 Arena and any other lan events.

Don't relate the scene news to DotA because I'm the one posting it. And also what does WoW have to do with DotA? They are two different games it's not like CS/CS:S...

I related them because the play style in dota and arena are very similar, not because you posted it. Difference is that arena is made by blizzard and will probably get a lot more support with tournaments etc.

I haven't played WoW but I think that the play style isn't similar at all, just because DotA play stile is unique and I can't imagine a MMORPG having a play style like DotA (completely different).

Wow is one of the most addictive games one can ever find out there. Have a great number of friends who got into it and can't get out.

imo the "guild wars" pvp system is better suited for e-sports. But it will be interesting to see where the WoW pvp scene is going.

With x6's dota and WoW teams now, they are finally finding game formats that they can compete in.

#5 It really is very similar
