Team Pandemic Expands to WoW
5v5, arena, pandemic, team, wow
Team Pandemic who were one of the first American teams to sponsor a DotA team ( ADA) is now sponsoring a WoW 5v5 Arena team.
Mark Dolven:
"I am very excited to see the Team Pandemic brand expanded in to the World of Warcraft universe. The group of guys that we have been able to recruit are the best in the business. We cannot wait to see what they accomplish for themselves as part of our teams. We will provide them with every tool they need to become the best World of Warcraft team in the world. The sky is the limit for these guys."
Jared "Iamvhell" Coulston:
"Joining Team Pandemic gives us the opportunity to grow as both a team and individuals to reach our goals of proving that we have what it takes to both participate and be successful at a tournament level."

Pandemic.WoW will compete in the Blizzard 5v5 Arena Tournament until April 15th. They are looking forward to the Qualifiers stage of the tournament where the top teams from each of the Battlegrounds compete in another ladder (from April 20th to May 4th). Well, i dont see WoW becoming a competitive game, even with a nice pvp, jsut like dota its pointles in the PG sceene.

As long as Blizzard doesn't add a way to play that mode against chosen opponents I do not give it any chance. eSports lives of leagues, how do you add a league in such an environment?

I haven't played wow for a very long time, meaning I've never even seen BC, but still a 5v5 team with no lock seems kinda crazy to me.

hmm i do think that this is a pretty nice and interesting move, because it may get more of the teams to play for their actual rank instead of only for the arena set items.
and you cant say that the arena system isnt challenging or well made. being one of the top teams gets you really hard to beat opponents .. but the thing that makes me think wow and esports dont fit each other is that in wow things are like: class>items>luck(crits, resists etc)>skill its better in 5o5 than in 2v2/3v3 of course, but it still sucks. God loves stupid people. That's why he made so many.
