DreamHack Summer 2007 Prizes

cs, dota, dreamhack, sc, sweden, wcg

1Don't let the name confuse you, DreamHack is the worlds biggest Lan (according to Guiness book's World Records) - 10.638 people are expected. Located in the beautiful Sweden Sweden in a lovely city called Jönköping, this event will rival that of World Cyber Games. The event will starting 16th of June and the ticket release is the 23rd of March, 00.00 CET.

Gosugamers.net seem to be the main crew when it comes to this event. Always helping out, they have some of their main admins being ref's and some doing the Shoutcasting. This though, is not only about Starcraft, but also about one of the other great Blizzard saga games: Warcraft III. To many the games are the perfect match, to others it's a war with skill going against speed and skill. But also CS and DotA are found there.

I'm not 100% aware of which WC3 players will be showing up, but by going through some of the people on Broodwar saying it should equal or surpass the players.

The entrance fee will be well worth it though, the prize money and just seeing the top players going head to head. Sadly though, there is no computer rental which is a big draw back but maybe someone you know could be nice enough to lend you one!

But competitions are not the only attracting things at the DHS07 - In Hall D you will find the mainstage which provides you activities 24 hours a day, they will show you information, competitions, movie clips and play music alltime. Another interesting hall goes by the letter 'C' where you can find the 'DreamEXPO' and the eSports-Arena. "In Hall C we host DreamExpo. Here you'll find exciting companies and organisations who will offer fun activities, competition and the possibility to take a look at those cool hardware and software products that amost doesn't exist yet.. You'll be able to try news games, attend competitions, test new products, buy computer gear, clothes, magazines and other stuff, meet the guys from your favourite news website, attend interesting lectures, attend cool activities and a lot more.

I believe that these 5 competitions should be on every lan tournament. CS, CS Females, WC3, SC and DotA all of them are very good.

You mean "you will earn more money if you win in WC3" and you're right. Still, CS, CSF, SC and DotA are all very good competitions.
