Could melee fan-boys please stop being jealous and bitter of the success DOTA is having. It's just getting annoying at this point. It sounds like something a 10 year old would say. Just accept it for what it is a popular team based mod. Seeing as this site has held now 5 DOTA tournaments (3 of them over 110 teams each), I don't understand how readers of this site can be so critical. CAL, CEGL, TFL, WCL, ESL are among online leagues. CPL is hosting several events ASUS event in Russia was the biggest purse for a DOTA event thus far, and there are more coming - whether the haters want it to or not.

CS was once a mod and it was progresing at slower rates then at what dota is, and now CS is the biggest game. So stop talking, your just making yourself look like an idiot.

#14 DONT PLAY DUMB, im not the only one commenting like that, and stop comparing it to CS, CS was made by the official editor along with some others to test the favorites, like demos, only to release it like an individual game, unlike dota which is JUST A CUSTOM MAP - try playing the real game instead of creating one... Flex, get your facts straight. Like DotA, Counter-Strike was created by a bored teenager who had an idea to an extraordinary game. I can't remember the actual creators name, but as I recall a guy named Gooseman helped out aswell. Counter-Strike was a mod for many years before Valve finally picked it up. Thus there is not much difference in how Counter-Strike and DotA started. One was based on Half-Life, the other Warcraft 3 and thats about it. Now please, stop commenting in anything related to DotA. You've made it pretty clear that you dislike it and yada-yada-yada. no re

cant have a dota-flame fest without Maelk, thats for sure. And sir you said it your self, 1 is a mod the other is a custom map. 1 was actually made on a competitive skale and the other ... well i think you know what im gonna say. Why dont you just admit it, that a 1 hero RTS map is not a competitive thing in a pro sence? Sry if my English was off, typed this in 5 sec. Sup?
