shgOpen is since 2006 one of the most prestigious European events and also the first one where we can see the brand new lineups of variuos powerhouses in 2007. Last year, up to 1000 gamers were set to participate at the Danish event and the global cashprize was about 46.000€ (350,000 Danish kroners). Notorious international teams as fnatic, Serious Gaming, aTTax or NoA were attending the 2006 event, last one won the event and nothing less than 13.000€ (100,000 Danish kroners).

After the surprising success, the organizing company shg.dk A/S could not leave the community without a shgOpen in 2007, since they announced the event details two months ago. The shgOpen 2007 will be the last stop of the Danish eSport Pro Tour, and it may host approximatively 2000 players. The cashprize has also been reviewed, since it's upgraded to 65.000€. Except the general information, the shgOpen organization is taking care to not inform the press about any details in regards to the teams attending. Today, MYM|Nostra was able to make up a list of most of the possible attending teams, after getting confirmation from team members. SnajdaN have told that SK signed up yesterday 22/1 for SHG Open. h2k is also ready for the tournament. When it comes to fnatic cArn will be in Thailand the date of SHG so it´s uncertain if they are going to particpate. Maybe we´ll see Tentpole back in the team, who knows?
