Lately lots of Top DotA Players have been inactive for various reasons. ESL administration decided to remove 3 top teams because of their players inactivity.
Quote from ESL Article:
| "As a result of their attitude, Dancing Ponies and Revoltados DotA have been removed from this league by admin's decision, as well as compLexity. We understand the issues a team could be facing, but that's no reason to make your own problems problematic for others. Hence, these three teams are no longer participating in this competition." |
compLexity lost Matthew Allen "DOGKaiser" Knizacky Jr. to verGe Gaming and Nick "Throzz" Mitracos to inactivity. DOGKaiser met verGe at CPL, the team his brother Joe "HyperFrog" Knizacky played for. Shortly after the event he left compLexity to join verGe.
Regarding compLexity, ESL stated:
| "As far as compLexity is considered, we learned they lost two players, and were facing tough issues ever since. Although they showed genuine e-sportsmanship in letting their opponents know when they couldn't field a team, we unfortunately had to decide to remove this top team from this league. We cannot allow other participants to take advantages off them, and for fairness' sake have to say goodbye to compLexity for now - regretfully, if we may add. Let's hope we'll be witnessing their return in the next season." |
compLexity's current line-up is:
Clinton "Fear" Loomis
Warrick "warr1ck" Holfeld
Henry "Fang" Fang
Ryan "shroomz" Cho (trial member)Source: ESL

As one of the persons responsible for the ESL.DotA part i can tell you, we are fully aware that the players are no roboters and have a real life. But because of that we can't just switch everything to make playdays acceptable for everyone. Inactivity is a problem of the team - if the team has no time, but the others have, there is no cause why to postpone a whole matchday. Greetings - Florian Your advertisement may be placed here!
