The most famous French player out there and one of the best Human players in the world, 4K^ToD , has been featured in an interview by the Taiwanese site of EsManiA. Currently playing the BattleNet Season 4 on the Asian realm of Kalimdor, ranking third using WE.IGE.Sky's account, he has been in China for more than a month playing the PGL and ranking second in the KODE5 overall finals. The interview itself covers more general questions and the usual matchup questions.
This is what ToD had to say about his KODE5 experience:
| Everybody thought that you were gonna win KODE5 but u lost to Deadman can u tell us what happend to that series? 4K^ToD : Like i mentioned in my blog earlier, i've been having trouble with Elf lately. I actually believe that if an elf can play flawlessly like Moon used to, or Deadman did in this tournament, nobody can beat him except another Elf. Since the rules of the tournament we're so bad too i got to pick 2 maps vs FoV and SoJu and won both times on each of the maps i chosed. Deadman could pick 2 maps vs me and it kinda killed my "will to fight" at this point because not only it's not fun to play vs somebody who starts with 1/0 vs you , it's also very unfair. I cannot think of any single big tournament that has perfect rules and tournament system. And by perfect rules i mean bo3 for the whole tournament, first groupstages followed by a double bracket, and that's a real pity! |

Hm ToD isnt too happy with the balance of the game it seems, and just not very happy in particular about a lot of things wc3 related :)

Nice interview, I always liked ToD, ever since I saw him play for the ArmaTeam some years back. He's mannered, greatly skilled, and most of all, he got some personality, which just makes him human.

This guy cries way too much. He knows the rules before he comes into these tournaments. Its not like they suprise him the day he shows up with the rules they have. If he was so unhappy about the format then dont play! oh and by the way... "perfect" doesnt exist. You just got beat by the better player that day.

He's got some good opinions about Night Elf. I dunno about UD vs HU, it's pretty balanced I guess but it's just a ruined matchup.

everybody here ,which said "whiner" is 4 sure ne or ud i think .... if u think these mus are so balanced u think i wanna see u picking hu and play vs some guy on "skillstage" like u and have fun with on ne or ud maps .....
