Just six days after renaming themselves, Extreme Sphinx face an uphill task in replacing their dedicated manager and star player.
The team formerly known as Ftz-Asia gaming rebranded themselves as
Extreme Sphinx in the hopes of kick-starting their new year on a high note, which was reported recently in this news just a few days ago. Today however, the malaysians have received a massive blow to their aspirations for the coming year.
Star player
Lim 'Mikebz' Tze Khai has decided to retire, leaving the team with only four active players and unable to compete in any further competitions until they find a fifth player to supplement their roster. Besides losing one of their key players, Extreme Sphinx have also been dealt a further morale-dampening loss with long-time manager
Chen 'Chenizace' Chinyi leaving the team for greener pastures. His statement can be found below:
Statement
Chen 'Chenizace' Chinyi, manager:
"I had been thinking for sometime after MikeBz announced his retirement and I have decided to leave the team that I have worked very hard for all this while. After this, I will form a new team. I had contacted a few players that had lost their interest in DotA and were planning for retirement, and also a new sponsor. I am still negotiating with them, and the result should be around the corner. Lastly, I would like to wish my former teammates all the best and thank you for the time that we fight together!"
Extreme Sphnix team roster:
Teoh 'Mil|er' Boon Chuan (Captain)
Lai 'n[o]v.2' Keng Leong
Low 'BaObAo' Chong Yeow
Ooi 'D3' Kean Choon
