Unfortunately, it appears that the Russian DotA legend, Russian Fede- Ivan 'Vigoss' Shinkarev has not come out of retirement and will not be playing in this edition of the tournament.

In addition, ProDotA.ru has caught up with players from individual teams for a pre-tournament interview. myMYM is proud to bring you the full translation to this interview. The unconfirmed translation will be marked with a *. Please pardon us for any mistranslation.

Who do you think will be your biggest competitor in ASUS Autumn 2009?
Russian Fede- Cavi: Planet-X/AEON.ru.
Russian Fede- Blow: I do not think anyone is our rival*
Ukraine Ахура: We believe the main contenders are DTS, RoX.KIS and AEON.ru.
Russian Fede- Dread: From the results of recent online tournaments, it will have to be AEON.ru but we must not forget DTS despite their roster change and losing streak.
Ukraine  Swedic: AEON.ru, DTS, Planet-X, RoX.KIS is no doubt the main rivals for the upcoming ASUS.

In every tournament, there are more surprises strategy-wise. Do you have any strategy planned and are you ready for these surprises?
Russian Fede- Cavi: I think that the farmer heroes such as Spectre will win games and surprises? Go ahead shoot.
Russian Fede- Blow: I think NS and PGG will come up with something special.
Ukraine Axypa: In terms of strategy, I think we have played most of the opponents enough to know their strength and weaknesses, so we have plans for each team. But personally, I do believe there will be a few surprises.
Russian Fede- Dread: In the current version, estimating the drafts is a difficult task. Recently, a non-pro friend of mine showed me a Tiny and Ursa combo with Tiny tossing the Ursa next to the enemy and Ursa proceed to destroy the enemy. This will be our secret tactic! Although we are already using this tactic, we will think of more strategy involving somewhere between the base tower and the fountain!
Ukraine Swedic: Yes, I am. We use unorthodox picks and combos.

Have the upcoming event affected the team's training hours?
Russian Fede- Cavi: Yes it affected. We are playing everyday now.
Russian Fede- Blow: The training times are tighter.*
Ukraine Axypa: In general, everybody loves the game and we play a lot together. However due to the recent quarantine in Ukraine, we were not able to play as much together. Fortunately we still have time to turn this around.
Russian Fede- Dread: No, we are still training like usual. We are emphasizing on our team morale.
Ukraine Swedic: Not exactly, we are just a mix team under Slavik.

Who are you looking forward to play against in the tournament? Would you want to meet the stronger teams earlier in the tournament or at the end?
Russian Fede- Cavi: It does not really matter but I would prefer to meet the stronger teams early.
Russian Fede- Blow: I don't really care.
Ukraine Axypa: Basically, I do not care which teams we meet in the tournament but I would wish not to meet a fellow Ukrainian team.
Russian Fede- Dread: I think it is better to face the good teams early because the tournament will run for like 10 hours or so. By the end of the day, nobody can hardly play well anymore and this is not exciting. I would like to face DTS though.
Ukraine Swedic: Of course I would prefer facing good teams in the semi-finals onwards to reduce the risk of being eliminated early. We play only to win.

Your top 4?
Russian Fede- Cavi: In no specific order, Zaven PRO, AEON.ru, Planet-X and RoX.KIS
Russian Fede- Blow: We will win the tournament. Don't know about the other 3.
Ukraine Axypa: Let the games decide.
Russian Fede- Dread: PRADO, RUSxD, 60lt, AEON.ru
Ukraine Swedic: AEON.ru, Slavik PRO, DTS, Planet-X
