The Vietnamese team, StarsBoba, managed to take first place at the Asian Indoor Games after winning both games in the round robin tournament.
The Asian Indoor Games held a Round-robin tournament this year for DotA in Hanoi, Vietnam. The tournament featured only three teams playing against one another and the team with the most wins would walk out victorious.
StarsBoba was amongst one of the teams that competed and joining them was a team from
Mongolia and
Uzbekistan. As expected, StarsBoba ended up beating both of them in order to win Asian Indoor Games 2009.
Although StarsBoba walked out the winner from the event, the only somewhat surprising part was that the Mongolian team was able to take a game from them, which means that this team could have what it takes to compete against other teams. Prize money wasn't offered, but instead the teams received medals for their accomplishment.
There haven't been any replays found from this event, but it is said that there is no intention to release them as well. So the action may never be seen.
The full results and pictures of the event can be found here.
