Riot Games, consisting out of former Dota veterans Steve 'Guinsoo' Feak and Steve 'Pendragon' Mescon and many other talented game developers, is the one behind the highly anticipated Dota based game, League of Legends.

The game is currently in beta with the release date set for this month. The game has been having positive reaction from many gaming websites but from Dota players the reaction has been a mixture between good and evil.

The moral to separate a giant community is what bothers a lot of players and also some changes in the gameplay is what has some Dota players doubting League of Legends. For that reason Riot Games has released an introduction to League of Legends for DotA players to consider playing the game.

The developers strongly points out the limitations of the Warcraft III engine and promises that League of Legends will bring "a new experience with entirely new content while capturing the familiar feel in an entirely new and expanded game."
