If you missed any results from that evenr make sure to update yourself with the coverage myMYM.com brought you here.

It's not the first ever, the CGS had stadiums, as do the S.Koreans.

Well than, it's still wrong, at least I think so. Wasn't the first CGS stadium IN China?

Hmm, see comment no. 6 here. I kinda agree with him, since CGS took place not in sth that was built only for eSports :)

That's not what I was referring to though. Did the CGS not build or intend on building a stadium in Wuhan? Or hell, maybe it was even Chengdu.

And S.Korea does have stadiums/studios built strictly for esports. And if you are going to say 'no they aren't stadiums, because; insert reason here'.

This place looks like ass and you all know it.

The 1st esports stadium is in Seoul, in Yongsan - Hall 9 especially just for StarCraft. Just occasionally for NWL like 1 month ago.

Looks more like an Intel showroom. The main stage is tiny, there aren't even booths for the gamers. The Chinese players could just turn their volume down and listen to the commentators on stage right next to them if they were playing on the main stage? All the other gaming areas look a bit crowded. I saw a video of Sky vs. HoT and there was so much noise/distractions from everything else which seemed pretty bad.

Yeah, I think the word 'stadium' is kinda misleading and I also expected a lot more. Anyways it is a big investment for Intel and a good step for eSports in general... and they have haters, not like some other locations in Chengdu ;p

It is infact the first ever stadium dedicated purely for eSports, the CGS had a TV studio that was part of the Sony studios in LA and was used for CGS during each season, it was not designed for spectators and the "crowd" were mostly a paid crowd. There are no stadiums which are purely for eSports events in S.Korea either, although they have had events with thousands of spectators run in huge stadiums they are no venues which were designed exclusively for eSports events, until now ;)
