Dota and WC3 at Dreamhack

With Starcraft making a comeback, Dreamhack announces its list of games for the upcoming Summer event.
Dreamhack is keeping its tradition of hosting both DotA and Warcraft 3 tournament for their upcoming Summer event. They have also announced the return of Starcraft after excluding it from their last event. DreamHack Summer 2009 will take place in Jönköping, Sweden from 13th to 16th July.
The prize money for the tournaments hase increased after last year's Winter event. Dota, Warcraft 3 and Starcraft will each feature a total of 50.000SEK, 4.600€ in prize. The previous DotA tournament had 43.000SEK and the Warcraft 3 tournament had 33.000SEK in prize.
There is currently no information on which version will be used for DotA or what the maps for Warcraft 3 will be and the tournament format. Information regarding the Counter-Strike tournament will be released later.
MeetYourMakers.DotA and 
Fredrik 'KnOfF' Knopf can look forward to defending their titles.

Such a big sum for DotA, that's a huge step imo. Sure, that's like 5000 euros, but that's still big when you compare it to the prices in the online leagues, right...?

Uhm, the prizes were bigger a year ago than now. If anything, the past Dreamhack and the coming one has been a step backwards in terms of the support it has been given. Which is sad considering more teams shows their interest in attending Dreamhack.
