Denmark to miss ESWC?

denmark, eswc, mtw

One of Europe's strongest countries may well have no representatives at ESWC 2009, though mTw may be in anyway.

Last year, Denmark Denmark did not hold a national qualifier for the ESWC, which meant that Denmark mTw had to qualify through the ESWC Masters event to secure a place in San Jose.

And it appears that history will repeat itself this year after the ESWC has released a provisional list of national organizers for 2009.

The ESWC has so far tied up deals with organizers from sixteen countries, which are the following:

China China
Colombia Colombia
France France
Germany Germany
Iran, Islami- Iran
Japan Japan
Korea, South South Korea
Internationa- Madagascar
Malaysia Malaysia
Mexico Mexico
Nigeria Nigeria
Panama Panama
Peru Peru
Slovenia Slovenia
Tunisia Tunisia
Ukraine Ukraine

Furthermore, the ESWC has confirmed that it is currently in talks with possible organizers to have qualifiers held in: Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, United Kingdom, USA, and Venezuela.

As you can see from the list above, Denmark will most likely have no qualifier for this year's event. However,  myMYM.com understands that there is a chance that the WCG holder mTw will be invited to this event.

The complete list of national qualifiers for the seventh ESWC season will be released in the upcoming weeks, according to the official press release.

It's depend which MYM's team you think of. MYM.cs will play in Polish qualifications but Danish teams have a problem.

I think he means that he thougt that mym (the company) had the licens to host the danish qualifyer.

And anserw to that, would be no, we had licens in 07, but as it looks right now, we have no intentions of hosting the 09 qualifyer.
