MYM opens the hunting season 2009!

If there is one Russian team that can threaten MYM then there must be more of its kind and a perfect example would be Russian Fede- fuSion. This team has an interesting history as it's a rare case of two teams combining their forces together and actually finding a way to live under the same roof. Usually such attempts ended up in a complete disaster that it can only be described in this way - imagine wanting to combine a shark and a domestic dog and then realising only new thing your Lassie knows is how to bark under the water.

Yes, well luckily for us the love story of Russian Fede- pAq and Russian Fede- aFz had a happy ending as they're still living happily ever since. So what can we expect of them? Tough 1v1 games will depend entirely on players' mood and perhaps a bit of helping hand from the lady Luck. Don't be mislead by MYM's reputation as these guys are all old sea dogs, yet not old enough to be rusty - you can rest assured that their psi-blades are polished and ready as ever to take down MYM's best and the worst! By listing players such as Russian Fede- Bender, Russian Fede- Lazur, Russian Fede- Rondo and many more we can safely conclude the 1v1 chapter and proceed to the 2v2 part which will be far more interesting than 1v1. Not saying that 1v1 will be easy wins, it's just that things are always more fun when they involve more than two people, in this case number of people being four. FuSion has one of the top 2v2 teams for the last year and more so it comes as no surprise that MYM's loss in 2v2 shouldn't surprise you at all. If MYM is going to fall then this will be the place where it will most likely happen and if we take a peek into MYM manager's thoughts it becomes even more obvious how respectable 2v2 team they have:

Quoting MYM manager Germany MaX

FuSion has a few pretty good players and especially their 2v2s are damn strong. So it won't be easy and we need to show up with a good lineup. I'll predict a good start for us in 2009 and a 4-2 victory.

Results of this clash will begin to unfold on Saturday at 19h CET so stay tuned and find out who came on top of this one. Hold your horses, one thing got almost forgotten - there will be a live stream for this clanwar, with the best part being that the cast will be done in English. If you wish to enjoy some hot casts done by Waschito then tune in here.

Final match for the weekend will be against the strongest Spanish armada ever to be made - LRM). If you don't speak Spanish don't worry, this team's destruction comes in a universal language package so that everyone can scream "Run for your lives!" with the same passion. For the spectators' entertainment let's hope that MYM boys don't chicken out when these guys knock on their doors - so who exactly will do the knocking?

LRM) might sail through StarCraft waters under the Spanish flag but its crew comes from all over the world. Bulgaria TechnicS being one of the best Bulgarian players who's speciality is serving the Overmind, Poland MIStrZZZ being one of the best Protoss users and also known for handling other two races with almost the same grace, Germany Doty and Poland ZZZero form a team which will try to make a difference in the 2v2 section of the clanwar and finally we come to Peru Fenix and Peru CaStrO, both of them being the most recent additions to the team and for a good reason - CaStrO lead many players to their fall, some of them even being progamers.

This will be an epic clash and just how hard it will be you can read for yourself from the MYM manager's statement:

Quoting MYM manager Germany MaX

LRM is besides ToT the strongest opponent in the whole tournament. Nuno did a pretty good job in the last weeks and reinforced the team with Castro and Fenix. If they can show up with their top4, its gonna be pretty tough for us and we need to show our best play.

So there you have it! LRM) was the best non-Korean team some time ago, then dropped down but now its back and ready to take down the biggest prey - will MYM find the strength to prevail find out on Sunday at 21h CET.

MYM will steam roll FuSion. LRM will get a map or two but imo not strong enough to take down mym.

I think MYM has this, the lineup is too strong and has been playing a decent amount lately so should be in reasonable form. I predict LRM might take one match away, and maybe some odd games 2-1 but no real threat. Best of luck to both, though.

We shouldnt underestimate LRM. A lineup with Castro, Fenix, Mistrzzz and a really good 2v2-team is always quite dangerous. But only a win counts for us, thats for sure.
