CBTeam removed from EPS.sca

ESL has removed Norwegian CBTeam (aka XpreZ) from EPS Scandinavia after several rule violations.

ESL's first edition of the EPS Scandinavia started out fantastically with some tight matches, but today the league is disappointed to announce that they have been forced to release Norway CBTeam, also known as XpreZ, from the tournament due to accumulation of too many penalty points.

The vast majority of the team's members did not have premium accounts and they also used ineligible additions in a match against mTw.AMD from Denmark. Recently, veteran player Ola "elemeNt" Moum retired from Counter-Strike and was thus replaced by several other players. ESL points out that the particular rule violators were Tommy 'tacky' Mosgaard and Ulv Ares 'xern' Bjornsson.

CBTeam also failed to upload required media after a match against Team Gameplay. The Norwegians were removed from the EPS and a portion of their prizemoney split was deducted. To add insult to injury, the Electronic Sports League also made a decision to bar the team from playing in the next season of the Pro Series.

I had hoped that CBTeam would play out the season with a good record to prove that they are still solid without Moum, but the chances of that happening aren't too bright at the moment!
