elemeNt retires from gaming

cbteam, element, real

Back in July, a new Counter-Strike team was born that featured elemeNt, who has now retired from gaming.

Back in July, a new Counter-Strike team was born as it became official that Norway Ola 'elemeNt' Moum had returned to the game after a nine-month break period. In addition, Norway Sondre 'REAL' Svanevik joined with him as they rallied with former Oslo Lions players.

One of the reasons Moum decided to create 'CBTeam' was that he had never competed at WCG and saw his chance to prove his skills for the first time in Cologne. Even though the performance reached the expectations when the team placed 4th, the players were hungry for more and were featured in EPS Scandinavia where Moum only played in the fnatic clash. He failed to show up in the GamePlay match.

As GotFrag.com reports, the team has since added Norway Thomas Holm 'quitY' Nilsen, Norway Tommy 'tacky' Mosgaard and Norway Ulv Ares 'xern' Bjornsson to their EPS lineup; elemeNt no longer appears there and this sign can be considered the end of Moum's gaming career.

The current lineup of Cbteam for EPS Scandinavia is:

Norway Sondre "REAL" Svanevik
Norway Tommy "syrtekz" Skoglund
Norway Thomas Holm "quitY" Nilsen
Norway Tommy "tacky" Mosgaard
Norway Ulv Ares "xern" Bjornsson
Norway Tor Aksel "drei" Haugnes
Norway Kåre "t0s" Kristoffersen

Can somebody tell me why Real for example doesn't go to a big team like fnatic or so?

Hard to say, I just feel he would deserve it and if he takes it serious, I guess he is able to kick some ass. I mean let's see if he stays in that team without element...

I could be wrong, but a lot of teams tend to use players from the same nation simply because it's easier to communicate I guess (the reason I'm not sure is because I don't know how similar Swedish is to Norwegian :P) plus it also removes the possibility of eligibility issues in certain events. For instance, mousesports ran into this problem at WCG, where they were refused attendance because of a mixed nationality composition.

Meanwhile, it's true that REAL has a ton of talent and should really be placed into a solid team! Now, he just needs some other high class Norwegians... but who knows, he might one day be a Norwegian among Swedes :D

Because he isn't good enough; and even more importantly - he doesn't fit in. In a team-game where communication and flow is so important as in CS, fitting in to the team is often more important than being a mad-fragger like REAL.

Isn't this the 10th time Ola has retired? Anyway, good luck mate, until you come back next time ;-)

Retirement is a pretty much abused word in esports. Why don't people just take a break ( and a kitkat ;-) )?

i think no 1 can be away from something they love the most.... Retirement is just a way to say i need a break and he'll back with a bang.... he's among the most amazing players i'm sure he wouldn't want to go for sure...
In this world of sin i hope to surrender to the holy bliss.
