2008, ief, participants

ToD & Moon will face again

The International Esports Festival 2008 has been rescheduled from October to December 2008. From the 4th December until the 8th December tournaments in Warcraft III, Starcraft Broodwar and Counter-Strike will be played.

The first stage in Warcraft III will feature a national championship with three teams from China China, Korea, South South Korea, Asia and Europe Europe. The selection of players in China and South Korea took place earlier this year in national preliminaries. Sky and InFi will lead the Chinese team that can additionally count on TeD from China World Elite and Sai from Germany Mouz. Korea got the the duo Moon and Lyn recently winning the ESWC Masters in Greece plus Soccer and Susiria from Internationa- Meet Your Makers.

Instead of having a qualifier in Europe, the IEF decided to handpick the the European players. With SaSe, HoT and LiiLD.C they'll have a majority of Nightelves lead by the French Human player ToD.

Tony is from Hongkong, not Vietnam.
Flyshow has retired.
Enza probably won't be playing for the Asia team either since he's gonna play the CS division in IEF2008 under team ZAOMURAI.

bisu: he is definitely looking in shape, after taking the MSL and showing the world he still has it.
savior: he has been doing pretty well (especially considering his slump) after winning the WWI and since he promised he will destroy everyone in 2009, hes probably training hard.
flash: he has been a beast in recent history but he has slowed down a bit and there are some signs of him actually weakening. even so, he's still damn good.
sharp: who?

I'll be nicer when you're smarter.

Wow Flash, making his first appearance outside of Korea. This should be really interesting. As for WC3, why is Grubby not in Europe's roster? WHY??????????!!!! I don't think that Europe needs 3 elfs and no Orcs? Are you kidding me? Korea didn't seem to send their very best either. I know this is MYM, but I have to say that Soju and Who are better than Soccer and Susiria, of course if they qualified through a qualifier than that makes them OK, but still..... And China, why is Sai there? I think that Like or Fly100% would have been better. But again since they had a qualifier Im not gonna say much. I also don't see the whole point of Asia coming to the tournament. Heck, I even think that North America has more accomplished players than them in the form of Sonkie and the innovatice Axslav. Asia already sent their best players in the form of China and Korea so why is there a need to make another Asian team???????? To sum it up this should be a pretty interesting tournament and Im really looking forward to some action.

Look at the Asian players outside of Korea and China, do you think that they can put up a fight against the likes of Moon and Lucifer?
