Stermy in quake-comeback at DH

av3k, fox, quake, spart1e, stermy, tox

While Italy Alessandro 'Stermy' Avallone made the biggest name for himself playing games like Unreal Tournaments and PainKiller, his biggest income in eSport comes from FIFA 2008. Following his departure from the duelling scene, Avallone made the transition to the popular sports-game, grabbing a spot on the San Francisco OPTX team in Championship Gaming Series.

Following the closure of the CGS, the Italian starlet has returned to the duelling scene though, making a comeback at DreamHack Winter's Quake Forever festival, where he will compete in Quake III Arena (VQ3).

He's not the only one going though. The ESWC Athens 2nd place finisher Sweden Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira will also be there, along with fellow Swedes Sweden fox and Sweden toxic. China Jibo will also take the trip from, while Poland av3k, Austria noctis and France strenx too has made their arrival known.

The entire list of participants in DreamHack's Quake-tournaments can be found on rakaka.se.

It's amazing to me that the possible return of Stermy to Quake was overlooked ... probably because most of the American Community doesn't care for quake

Or maybe because Stermy actually never made anything big in Quake. Re-thinking it, it should prolly be "Stermy in duelling-comeback"....

Yea, I didn't even really mean to say quake :) I guess reading the news just put it into my head. Fact still remains everyone seemed to focus more on "what will all the source players do?" and no one even brought up stermy's name once the whole time ... Which to me is sad
