While
fnatic has been in a slump recently,
XpreZ (former CBTEAM) showed strength at WCG, clinching a 4th place. Though the Norwegians made it that far on a somewhat cheap background, they did give the latter winners from mTw, a good run for their money.
In yesterday's EPS Scandinavia match against the Swedish favourites, XpreZ didn't look like a team that had taken 4th at WCG though. At least, they didn't in the first half. In the first fifteen rounds on de_inferno, the Norwegians were simply run over by fnatic, who clinched 12 rounds on their way.
Going into the 2nd half, XpreZ got onto the right track, mounting a phenomenal comeback. If the Swedes had not taken them seriously in the first half, they had to in the 2nd half.
elemeNt and his companions managed to get almost level, hitting 14 rounds before fnatic was able to take down the very last round in the game, for a 16-14 victory.
Before the match against XpreZ, fnatic had disposed of their fellow Swedes in PlayZone. A match that ended with the onesided result 16-1 for fnatic.
