It was the shortcut to the stars. The fast way to the big money in eSports. Joining the Championship Gaming Series looked like a fantastic opportunity, as it would elevate salaries, coverage and the general professionalism in eSport.
That was atleast how
Jason '1' Lake presented the addition of
compLexity i CGS to the team's loyal fans. Suddenly it wasn't about fRoD and Warden anymore, it was about fancy lights, decisive FIFA matches and female DoA-gamers.
Followng the closure of the CGS, Jason Lake's dream is shattered. He has lost everything he had in eSports, even the name and brand 'compLexity', which is now owned by DirecTV. In an open letter to the coL-community, Jason Lake admits that he is out of money and can't run compLexity on his own anymore.
Looking for a sponsor, a name and a new website, Jason Lake is not out of motivation or energy though. He goes on to say that compLexity WILL go forward. His players have made a vow to stay with him, as long as they can financially afford it.
