The latest World of WarCraft expansion, the Wrath of the Lich King has been released a couple of hours ago. This relates to StarCraft 2 because StarCraft 2 is the next Blizzard game to be released. This can revive the StarCraft 2 hype because there hasn't been a lot of news on the game in some time. Some people believe that Diablo 3 will come out before StarCraft 2, but Blizzard has denied that rumor.
BlizzCon was held last month in Anaheim, California where a shocking turn of events took place. Blizzard has announced that StarCraft 2 will be three games to create a more epic feel to the single player story. The first game to be release is the Terran campaign and it is titled "Wings of Liberty". After this release will be the Zerg campaign and it is called "Heart of the Swarm" and the Protoss, "Legend of the Void". Many fans were furious by this decision from Blizzard because they think that Blizzard is just trying to milk the franchaise just like WoW.
Paul Sams is the is the chief operating officier of Blizzard and he stated that:
| "The fact of the matter is, it's absolutely, positively untrue about us trying to stretch it out and milk it. People think that it was a monetary driven decision. I can absolutely, positively tell you, with 100 per cent certainty, that that was not part of the conversation. I guarantee it. I give my word. There was never, ever a conversation where we said, 'let's do this because we're going to make more money'. I guarantee it. As a matter of fact the sole reason we did it was because we thought it was going to be a better experience. Anybody that says otherwise is not correct. It is absolutely not what we did it for." |

gee...lemme think, they crippled the game so that everyone can play it like a pro because other gamers are used to having half of the things automatized and having zero multitasking skills (exception being moon), wc3 crippled everything to micro, but hey that wasnt enough, so somebody thought of crippling the game even more (is that even possible?ofc it is!) and created dota, i mean it's hard to micro several units, let's just micro one unit instead.
now blizzard knows majority of "rts" gamers are like that and they simply cant handle the sc - hence they implemented tons of things in sc2 to make it easier for less capable humans to be equally good as the hard-working and highly intelligent gamers from the other part of the universe known as sc! with that said - besides caring more about global popularity of sc2 rather than it's competitive nature and "rightful" place in esport world now we've also witnessed blizzard milking even more cash because now that they've attracted even the lowest rednecks out there they can sure make them buy the game three times! - even houdini would be proud of this one. "oh yes, we are very sorry for making the game more expensive, we were unaware of the fact that 3 games cost more than one, but let's get real, we cant afford releasing all 3 ti i mean personally i couldnt care less if it's 5ti Last edited by Dendra at 14.11.2008, 19:58
