Tonight, our very own
MYM.DotA-squad has to face the Swedish high-class team of
SK-Gaming, again, in the Grandfinal of The Frozen League's (TFL) Playoffstage. Since MYM came out from the winnerbracket by beating well-known topteams, as for example
Check Six in winnerbracket's final and as well
SK.DotA in the second (2nd) round, they now have the advantage of 1:0.
Due to this the Swedens of
SK have to win two (2) games in a row. After the loss in the second (2nd) round
SK.DotA had to take the long way to reach the grandfinal - above the looserbracket. After some glorious wins against some of world´s best teams, like
eMazing Gaming and the South-Korean so called
eXtreme DotA Team.
If you are interested in getting more information about the whole TFL-Playoffstage - do not hesitate to check out MYM's very own TFL: Playoffstage news or TFL's very own homepage.
Now, arguably the best DotA-teams in the world are playing against each other in an amazing clash - fulfilled with awesome gameplay, world´s best players, and so on. Below you can find the results, heropicks and additional information about the teams:

Replay: MYM.DotA (Sentinel) versus SK.DotA (Scourge) #2
Again,
SK.DotA was able to beat
MYM.DotA in an awesome third (3rd) match. By playing extraordinary SK won two (2) games in a row and they are, now, the champion of The Frozen League (TFL). Congratulation to SK and as well to MYM for reaching the grandfinal and the second (2nd) place.
Afterwards, we had a short talk with some players - you can find their statements below:
MYM|Levent
Sadly i have to say SK outplayed and outpicked us.We didnt train much the past days and take this loss as a warning.Furthermore i have to say SK is one of my favourite enemys, its always a pleasure meet then especially in such a big final. I wish them gl in the upcoming tournaments and hopefully we can meet them again to take our revenge.

We have been fighting hard for this win! We've learnt the secrets of XL and didn't get outpicked in any of the 2 games =) More like the other way around imo. In the first game we thought that MYM would go for bristle as secondpick, so we snatched it infront of them! But compared to many other teams, we don't only pick to destroy for the other team, but we make the hero(in this case bristleback) work perfectly in our lineup. Even though Akke played a great bristleback we never had to fall back on him to carry us. =) We all played extraordinary and executed a great strat that resulted in our.
In the second game we knew pretty much all the time what mym would pick as in Lina, Sven, Bristle, Beastmaster, And saw that we could counter that perfectly with void, silencer and ecspeacially omniknight. Even though we would eventually have a bit weaker heroes early game we were sure of owning them 5on5. But eventually we did both ;)
This win is very nice for us since we never cared much for TFL and barely reached the playoffs haha. But we showed all teams that we really are one of the absolute best teams around worthy of wearing our new sponsor's (SK) tag. And of it was really nice to beat MYM of all teams :D Since they are known to be like our "nemesis" and they beated us the last time we faced eachother @ DreamHack.
I'm really proud of my team! All the players has impressed me and grown as players during the last month or so, Both individually and as teamplayers. Drayich has impressed me with his dedication for the team and the time that he puts on watching replays etc =).
Thanks to all teams, which participated in this awesome playoffstage and showed us amazing gameplay and action - as well as to the whole staffteam of the TFL.DotA for the commitment and great work. We are looking forward to the next season! The very best of luck and success - your MYM.DotA Staffteam.

"Drayich has impressed me with his dedication for the team and the time that he puts on watching replays etc..."
How does he manage to find enough time for it?He's a married man with a child! As for the games,to beat SK in its full form you have to have the best lineup possible and put an excellent performance.Merlini will need a little practice to get back to his previous shape, and MYM should summon all its crew(including Fang and p0c) and start practising in order to be the best.I expect them to be back on top by the end of holidays. Excellent picks by SK,seems like Loda knew all the time what he wanted to achieve and what means to use.Add perfect teamwork as well as individual performances and the win is in the right hands. | |
