Recently, the Orc players have been too strong... When I woke up in the morning to read the news, I learnt that Lyn defeated Moon with a score of 2:0. All of us have been saying that Lyn has been insane recently, winning all the prize money. He has been running all over the place, taking the gold. It must be due to his hard work and constant practice before the competitions.

Yesterday night I took a look at the battle report of Tod and Lyn. To be honest, Tod's playing style was not bad. But in the later parts of the game, he didn't handle the minor details well enough. At the moment, the mainstream Orc playstyle involves slaying the enemy heroes with the raiders' ensnare and the Shadow Hunter's hex. This leaves players of other races feeling helpless.

Because of this, players fighting Orcs have to arm their heroes with invulnerability potions or health potions. If not they have to be exceptionally careful while controlling their heroes and avoid placing their heroes too far in front or too far behind. The best option would be to place one's hero in the middle of one's entire army. Of course, it is alright to place a strength hero at the frontlines. This knowledge came from hours of tough training. It could also be said that it was after my heroes were slained so many times that I finally realized such important details.

I was just casually writing my thoughts... Now it is quite late and I am going to sleep. Good night :) . For the past few days, I have been preparing hard for the upcoming MGC and WEM. Fighting! (Jia You!)

Hmm, I tend to agree. Its really the Orc players that are coming out right now. The Blademaster is imbalanced (Im an Orc player) but the rest of the race is balanced. If you cant keep the Blademaster WW its almost impossible to keep an advantage in a battle.

Orcs start winning shit after years of being beat down and people start whining, Sky always said Orc was not a problem for him; NE (specifically Moon) was. Since the patch the only thing thats been nerfed in the HU/Orc matchup is towers... and thats only the base repair rate during upgrade... so whats changed so much for Orc to be suddenly overpowered?

Nothing. Its the players Fly, Who, Lyn, Grubby who have some of the sickest micro in the World... also Orc's don't have the luxury of versatility like NE/HU, so 9/10 they're using the same unit combo thus constantly relying on their micro to win games.

Its only the top Orc players in the world making it look imbalanced, when it really isn't the case. Talking about Moon losing to Lyn in the final, in NWL Moon raped Lyn 3 - 1? That was like 2 weeks ago.

If anyone has a right to whine about Orc imbalance its UD! :D Now that I can't disagree with.

I tend to disagree - it's not a weakness that orcs use the same units over and over again but makes them learn to use it even better as they have been using basically the same strategy for a long time now. Plus the part about orcs "constantly relying on their micro" is pretty biased. Orcs don't rely on their micro more or less than other races do, I'd say that other races have to micro even more carefully against orc due to hex/ensnare/BM. This is what Sky says: Place your hero up front while moving across the map and a second later a speedscrolled orc army will rush in, hex/ensnare it and slay it as the blademasters comes out of nowhere. The problem is not that orc is generally too strong, but that the Blademaster is getting so much better as he advances item- and levelwise, leaving him able to crit for 250 and more. Combined with spirit link and heal this is definately too much damage for a single hero imho.

1.22 patch really change nothing about Orc, but reduced other races more or less as many pros said in their interview when 1.22 patch released.

Just remember few months ago everybody shouted that NE is imba,and so much ppl agreed with it.It's just because elves won too much cups and leagues before.Ofc no one likes fast herokills with hex and ensare,but if u'll play smart and fast u can avoid all this (you can try to avoid). The one imba is UD,they can kill only another UD ^_^

The Blade Master has become the most important units the last few months. With good items (from shop) he is in early and midgame unbeatable. In the Endgame hes almost invulneable with healing wave+spiritlink+healing items. Im an orcplayer as well, and in my opinion the blade masteris too strong, thats why orc is hard to beat.

hardwork of ONE STRATEGY other have put many years to train different strategies against different races. And the second thing. Playing aggressive is much more easier (needs less micro) then playing defensive..

Every race plays to their strengths and weaknesses, so your implying that ensare, hex, etc should be removed, and that all races destroy Orc from there on? Can I stress NO CHANGES have been made to Orc via patches for god knows how long, and its only now they start dominating. Its purely because the Orc players are in great form and NE/HU have yet to come up with any new imbalance.

Aside all this, I really don't see how you can still say Orc is imba, just look at the results, Orc's still lose left right and center to NE and top Humans.

The point is that Orc can do basically the same strategy vs every race while other races need to switch vs every matchup and on different maps. That means that the orc can perfect their strategies while the other races need to do a lot of things in a different way, especially human which is the most versitile race in the game with the most unit usage and the most tactics in the game.

For patch 1.22:

Human
* Scout Tower repair rate changed from 12 to 20.
* Knight damage increased: Attack cooldown changed from 1.50 to
1.40 and base damage increased from 25 to 28 (Average damage is 34).

Undead
* Increased Ziggurat base armor from 1 to 5.
* Reduced the build time of the Necropolis from 120 to 100.

Night Elf
* Reduce the Orb of venom poison duration from 10 seconds to 8 seconds.
* Increase the experience gain from Dryads from Level 2 (40xp) to
Level 3 (60 xp)

does this current patch made orc imba?

I think the imbalances are discovered by players. Orc players "recently" discovered the current play style with BM, so ORC became a little imbalance, because there is already no balance when they can play almost the same strategies vs all races...

I hope #38 is right about sky talking about top orcs instead of orc as a race, cuz this sounds like EPIC WHINING to me.

As you've seen, there are NO CHANGES MADE whatsoever in the last GOD KNOWS how many patches to orc, last time orc dominated was 1.14 as I remember.

Anyway, orc's a strong race yes, but it shows now because all the imbalanced features of other races have been tweaked (talking about HU/ELF) now they have to find something else to rely on, better strategy/micro instead of 10000 towers or massing 1xp dryads for 1 gold and 1 wood.

Orc isn't imba at all , only few units are rly imba in this matchup - raiders hex,healing and blademaster. But let's see on HU - MK is very big problem for orc bolt etc , sorc. My biggest problem vs orc are wivs when i play fe ;/ Iam Hu and I must confess that's Hu is pretty strong race but it's very hard to play well this race - units with low hp.

How can that be an imbalance in a "overpowered" manner? If anything its a major setback, your opponent always knows what your going to do, leaving orc with no element of surprise. Not to mention the fact that orc really have nothing else in their arsenal anyway. And anyway, can I just say the raider, grunt, sw tactic isn't exactly new on the scene? Orc's have used it for years. Its merely the top Orc players have practiced and perfected it for so long, their exectution is pretty much flawless. Thats why they are winning alot... And its clearly beatable, ESWC - Moon 2:1 Lyn Groupstage ... Lyn 2:0 Final.

Well, orc had been losing to nightelf and human for almost 4 years. Moon's first strat of mass talons vs zacard in late 2004 or early 2005 in WEG Final. And Sky's mass sorc and tower rush at tier 2 in 2005. Orc suffered already. it's ne and hu's turn now. :) even though i'm orc, i still hope blizzard nerf orc and balance other races because i want all balance.

Bullshit... Orc aint IMba, LYN is if you sit down and watch his ingame micro it is beyone fucking godlike. more or less every opponent for LYN at eswc athen, seem to be fucking slow compared to lyn in battle situations.

And SKY havent really been on top lately.. guess he gotta blame it on something :)

If you are a random noob playing bnet ladder (like me) i think orc is "imba" because it's simply easier to play than the other races cause your basic unit has like 700hp (which makes it easier to move low units out of combat) and you can just herofocus all the time and win by doing so. But on a higher level, it's mainly about the player's skill and not about the race.

Erm, he actually said "Orc players are T-O-O strong" ... the context is completely different to "Orc players are strong nowadays". If it were the case of him complementing a player, who just so happens to play Orc. Why not say "Lyn is strong" or "Lyn is too strong" ... Maybe its the translation, maybe he just meant the orc players are playing well lately... but the fact he never actually says that anywhere kinda makes you feel hes having a "polite whine" .. I just get that impression anyway.

well, statistically orc has 50% or higher % vs all other races (according to sk-gaming, who has been tracking wc3 tournaments since january).... just throwing it out there :/ i think BM is imba. critical strike is insanely good as well as wind walk. -2 to initial agility plz!
