IOL Finals: SK wins

ats, begrip, finals, inferno, iol, lanklan, online, sk, sweden

Tension and expectations made the first Inferno Online League Finals in Sweden's most renowned internet cafe a small International highlight. After their marvelous triumphal procession throughout the entire tournament bracket, Swedish SK Gaming, winner of the recent ESL Extreme Masters Global Challenge in Los Angeles, were able to run down the entire tournament unbeaten.

The first playoff tournament of two parallel running playoffs brought forth SK, where as another native team, namely lanklan, came out on top in the other one. Latter had to suffer defeat; the accomplishment of zet's new team not only strengthened the division's motivation as well as their vision but also proved that this squad deserves the title as Champion of Los Angeles.

On top of SK's win, mibr were kicked out of the tournament after a disastrous loss to AndThenSome's Finnish team in the second round of the playoffs. Other than that, Begrip Gaming could pull out their match against Volt Gaming in favour of themselves - Volt beat Begrip in the Scandinavian EPS Qualifications a few days ago. A Swedish balance can be witness, quite the contrary shows mibr's weakness. The Brazilian team still lacks continuity and self-confidence, maybe one of the consequences that brought the CGS with their different discipline and playstyle.

In the following the results of the IOL Finals:

  1. Sweden SK Gaming (3.200€)
  2. Sweden lanklan (Material prizes worth more than 1.200€)
  3. Finland AndThenSome.fi (Team-Ticket to DH Winter)
  4. Sweden Begrip Gaming
