[PD11] RuSh3D 1:0 Artyk

The Pride 11 action continues tomorrow after a pause that allowed most of the teams to take a deep breath after the qualifiers.
Tomorrow, at 20:00 CEST, Peruvian team Artyk Gaming faces Russian giant Rush3D in the first round of playoff preliminaries. The relatively unknown team from South America has defeated teams like 
MoD, 
[TnT], 
gg and 
[BeSt] on their way to qualify for Pride 11.
Rush3D, on the other hand, dominated Eastern European qualifier, knocking out teams like 
SvT, 
T2D, 
RF and 3pl3.
While it's surely a fact that Rush3D is the favourite of this match, surprises can happen anytime, as Pride has proven to us a number of times. Will Rush3D continue in its dominant style? Will this be but the first match of their run for Pride 11 championship trophy, or will it end versus the Peruvians? You can sure find that out tomorrow!

This is definitely a problem. Despite Rush3D dropping they were obviously the favor. If you count their kill score, including the towers and the barracks which also count in kills they were leading. Since in this case the favors are the one to drop, it all depends on the Admins on this one.

Actually I don't agree with the admin's decision on this one. Although I didnt watch the complete game (GGTV stream down like around 6min), I think its abit unfair and 'abusable' to award a team with a victory just because they drop and happen to be winning. I am not saying rush3d did that intentionally, heck I think rush3d is a world class team, but teams in the future may disconnect intentionally while they are leading by quite alot and get the default win.
At the end of it, it was definitely not Artyk's fault that Rush3d dropped, I don't think rush3d should be awarded with a win just like that. To me, a rematch should be fair solution. | |
ye me 2, we didn't talk with any admin... we tried but no1 of them answers on IRC... but what can we do now... =).
