No visa for Strelok to Blizzcon

blizzcon, issue, strelook, visa

Just today Blizzard released the tournament brackets for the Warcraft 3 and Starcraft tournaments that will take place on October 10th and 11th at Blizzcon in Anaheim, California.

For StarCraft, we saw a lot of players that are living in Korea, as well as one player from outside Asia, none else than Ukraine MYM.Strelok. He was supposed to face Korea, South Zerg sAviOr in the first round of the tournament in California, though the brackets have to be changed now since Strelok just told myMYM.com that he won't be able to attend the event.

The Meet Your Makers player said he was already invited 10 days ago to the event, though he received the official invitation letter via ordinary mail just a few days ago on Wednesday. As usual, a VISA for the US is hard to get, especially for people from the former soviet states. "Blizzard gave me all documents too late, I had only 1.5 weeks to fulfill requirements for a VISA, I tried all variants, but it's impossible to make a VISA to USA in less time than 3 weeks," says Strelok.

The Terran player is  very sad he's not able to take this opportunity and participate in one more great event, though he also understands that Blizzard is very busy with organizing Blizzcon, the tournaments, all the flights and hotels and probably just forgot that a VISA issue might occur for him.
