A fourth race for SCII?

One of the most tight lipped gaming companies in the world, Blizzard Entertainment. Security may come first for this company while they are making a game but of course some are never satisfied. Recently a very questionable leak of information appeared causing the community to go into a very small and unimportant uproar. More like a "downroar" in this case actually. Nonetheless this could be a sign to the oncoming stage which Blizzard must weather, the long cold expanse before the supposed 2009 release. The dogs of war have been let loose and they hunger for the flesh of Blizzard.
According to an anonymous e-mail the Xel'Naga will play a similar lore role to the Old Gods from World of WarCraft who were imprisoned for a long period of time before being freed. They will supposedly seek revenge upon the Zerg for the destruction they have wreaked on the Universe. Seriously... come on?
The Xel' Naga were smart and booked it before the Protoss really put an end to their existence, as the dominant race in the galaxy perserving that title is top priority. Not only does being captured not suit the Xel' Naga it also brings into question the many many pages of previous StarCraft lore - and it was spotted in a screenshot here. The story of the "guiding" race is somewhat blurred as far the lore goes in game, beyond what we hear about their creation of the Zerg and Durans little ditty at the end of Brood War. On top of all that Blizzard is known for tight security and if anything were to leak I am sure it would not be A) without their knowledge and B) nothing substantial. Of course, if this is true the source will be fired but either way there is a good chance that the fans will suffer more than benefit from his or her actions.

It's likely a fourth race no more than the Naga are a fifth race in WC3.

At Games Convention Blizzard said that they planned to add fourth race, but after they saw how much work it will be, they focused at balance and new ideas of three races. They also said that there is a possibility that new race will be added in add-on.

Im pretty sure Blizzard has confirmed that only the Protoss Zerg and Terran will be included in StarCraft 2. But hell they never stick to what they say.

and it's gonna be fun if we have the 4th race in SC II but i think there will be many ppl hate it. SC: BW still has many great influences on them, you know ^^! btw, great news - My dream is to come into being such a sunlight -

i believe this thought crossed blizzard's mind but they abandoned it because it was too much work to do. besides, having 3 races means more cool stuff to them, rather than having 4 races with fewer innovations.
I'll be nicer when you're smarter.

They already mentioned that there would be a high possibility of seeing the Xel'Naga in the campaigns and it won't be playable. It was decided to keep 3 races only for Multipla

Its just another marketing strategy anyway. They should state exact facts about the release instead, they got too much hype. Fans might change their minds if they don't say anything with assurance.

Personally I dislike the idea of having the Xel'Naga return (just like I didn't like the reveal of the Scrin in C&C3 Way to go killing the tension, guys :P) but it has been building towards that since day one basically.
While the video game industry has proved time and time again that the sharpest pencils aren't in it I'd say the story we'll be getting from SC2 is exactly as much story as can reasonably be presented in an RTS game in this st Suprise and Terror!

errm...think in the way blizzard does...sc2 is a hit as it is, so many combinations to explore, rules to obey, why give us even more combinations? if a 4th race will become "playable" then it will be in an expansion as unlike in wc3 here you cant simply add a few heroes/items and voilla, omg gogo ppl be "creative" and "create" new strategies.
sc2 will be like a testing ground, xel'naga will be a part of campaigns just to familiarize you with that race and then once pla If force won't work, use greater force.
