KingSurf and zENith secure Asian Final

dota, eg, eswc, ks, mym, zenith

The lag-factor has long been one of the most discussed problems in the DotA-community; just HOW good would the Asian teams do against the European teams, if they were playing under the same circumstances.

Now, ESWC has given us a clear cut answer - they would dominate! As a matter of fact, Malaysia KingSurf and Singapore zENith, the two Asian participants, have only lost one game combined throughout the tournament. That includes wins against MYM, TeG and EG.

In their respective semi-finals, KingSurf and zENith disposed of MYM and EG without too much problems. MYM ran into the Broodmother of KingSurf, while the Cannucks faced a similar Asian pick as zENith once again used the Visage. Just like in their previous encounters, KS and zENith showed that they are capable of fantastic things when they are not limited by high pings, and outclassed the two ESWC Masters-participants in style.

The Grand Final will be played at 12AM local time, which is translated to 21:00 CET. The third place decider between MYM and EG is going to be played at 10AM, 19:00 CET.

You can find more scores and information in our ESWC Grand Final Coverage!

Give bo3 and I think that Asians will drop to 3rd place. It's easy to win if you make a surprise strat and it's bo1, nobody can tell what's going on. Now if the match is bo3 and you still make 2 surprise strats, that's fine, but if you don't, it boils down to skill and I think European teams would just own asians there, eventually.

haha what a lame comment
it's easy to win if u make "surprise" strat
all the teams had the same chance to make a "surprise strat" whatever that means
anyway using predictable strats is noobish
this is just one LAN tournament, and European teams lost, take the loss with grace please
