Mousesports has confirmed today that the squad will be vacating from the upcoming season of WC3L, following the release of its Russian teenager, Happy.

According to the official press release in German from the team’s site, it is said that the choice to pull out of the WC3L could not have been more difficult, but was a right decision nevertheless.

A paragraph of the official statement read: “We couldn’t get a team which could represent us the way we wanted since 2 seasons ago.

“There was no real team spirit, and neither could the community identify themselves with the squad.

“We noticed this problem last season, and from then on we decided not to continue with this team anymore. However, it was pretty surprising to achieve such good results at the last WC3L finals (due to good performances of the solo players). Unfortunately, that cannot make us forget what happened in the past.”

Yet, with the release of SaSe, ToD and Happy, and a withdrawal from the WC3L, it is still uncertain if the remaining three players; Fly100%, HasuObs and Yumiko will stay.

Mousesports’ biggest accomplishment as a team was finishing as runner-up at the previous season of WC3L in Changsha.

Update: The WC3L has announced that the winner of Keepers of Destruction (formerly known as BenQDELTAeSports.COM) vs Millenium.wc3 will take the spot vacated by mousesports. The first playday has also been extended.
