MYM roster undergoes major changes

The StarCraft international scene is a living, breathing organism, constantly evolving and going through continuous changes with each passing day. Our squad is no different, and the most Iefnaij recent proof is today the addition of one of the best players outside Korea to the MYM.SC roster.

You may have read about MYM.Yayba joining our team, or about Meet Your Makers conquering the #1 spot in the GosuGamers Team Ranking (read here). Right now we have another news for you: Canada Protoss MYM.IefNaij signs with the team and is now officially under the MYM tag.

Basically the best Canadian player at the moment, IefNaij kept improving, rising like a true champion against some of the strongest opponents in the world, including Korean progamers. Winning the Hauppauge Cups #9, #10, #13 and #17 speak about his skill, placing 1st in the iCCup Ladder seasons 1 and 2 are again proofs that he is a high-caliber player, but the Razer TSL trophy was definitely one of his biggest accomplishments; also, he is now ranked 1st in the GosuGamers Gamers Database as the best non Korean player in the world.

However, not all good things last too long, as we will have to say goodbye to our Chinese Zerg player China Zerg F91 and to our Canadian King of Random, Canada Random Testie. They were surely great players and showed both an amazing performance in the team, but unfortunately this is one road that we will no longer share with them. Germany Protoss kAra is the third player to leave our team, as he will join another StarCraft squad; he was with us for a short while but we thank him as well as F91 and Testie for all his work here.

Also, we would like to announce that Korea, South Zerg MYM.Crayon is more or less back in business, since he just finished his basic education time in the Korean army, so a warm "welcome back" to him would be appropriate. In the manager section, we will have Germany Archi, Poland LastNight and Germany MaX from now on: sadly, Malaysia Ash will be leaving the team because he has to focus on his studies and he will probably be back once he takes care of them. His work here was invaluable and we wish him good luck with his future projects in case we will not have him as MYM.SC manager.

China F91 statement:

“After being in one of the most successful e-Sport teams for 2 years, it's sad for me to see that this has to come to an end because MYM is such a great team that every e-Sport player out there would probably dream of representing. The departure is too sudden to me. Nevertheless, I would still like to wish MYM the best in the future and also would like to thank all the MYM managers and teammates for the great time they have given me.”

Germany MYM.MaX statement:

"It’s always sad to release some of our players. In the case of our Chinese friend F91, it’s even sadder. He was a constant part of our SC Squad and he really did a great job during the last months and years. We are thankful that he spent his time with us and we wish him the best in his future.
I also want to thank Testie, kAra and especially Ash for their great work in our team. Testie and Ash played key roles in the development of our tam. We really appreciate their efforts in the pasts months. Unfortunately kAra has to leave us so early. He did a great job with Jae in the last weeks. We wish him good luck for his new assignment.
On the other hand we are really happy to welcome Iefnaij in our squad. We observed him during the last months and he finally found his way to MYM. He still has a lot potential and I’m sure he can become a key player just like he was for Excello. So welcome JF and have a great time!
And of course I also want to welcome Crayon back in the team. I’m sure he will be back on his old level soon."

We also got MYM.IefNaij for a short interview, so here is what our new Protoss executor had to say:

myMYM.vhallee: Hi there, IefNaij, welcome to the MYM.sc team! What are your first impressions?
MYM.IefNaij: Well, the entire MYM team is quite known in the eSports scene. Having some of the top WC3 and SC teams, it is a great honour to be invited to such a team.

How well did you know your new team members before joining? Did you use to train with them or just play friendly matches?
- I knew many of the top MYM.sc players for a loooong time, such as Strelok, Ra, F91. However, we do not practice with each other often, our matches are greatly done via clan wars and nation wars. As for the rest of the MYM team, I do not know them well, but I will hope to do so.

Seeing as how you are from a rather difficult time zone, will joining MYM affect your training schedule?
- It won't really. Most CWs are during the weekend so there will be no timezone issues there. Most of my training is done via iCCup smurf account, as for longevity and how frequently, I do not know. Only time will tell.

What are your expectations from the team and what are your personal goals now?
- Since we have some of the top players in the scene, I would presume that we would do really well in ICCUP/WGTcl, probably placing at least top 3 for each league. As for personal goals, there are none. Normally it would be WCG, but there is no WCG.SC for Canada this year.

We are very happy to see IefNaij in our team and we wish him the best of luck in the upcoming events with his newly acquired MYM tag.
