Just now Team Dignitas has announced that there will be some changes concerning its Call of Duty 4 team. Dignitas, who recently faced a internal crisis with
Michael "Mick" Bradshaw appearently leaving the team and then coming back once again, are sad to say goodbye to
Kenneth "plaZma" Aulie, as he has decided to step down from active gaming to focus more on real life and the new Quake title, QuakeLive.
According to
Jonathan "raz" Baker, plazma had no motivation to play the game on a high level anymore, which caused the Dignitas team to suffer due his inactiveness. Because of this Dignitas decided to look out for a new player who had the motivation to play on the highest level and they found him in the person of former Oslo Lions player
Daniel "'Zenith" Johansen. The Dignitas site states that
Kenneth "plaZma" Aulie won't leave the team, but will just step down for the time being.
Daniel "'Zenith" Johansen joins the team to ensure activity for the upcoming summer LANs and will be attending
Antwerp Esports Festival,
The eXperience and
Multiplay i34 together with the team.
The Dignitas.CoD4 line-up is the following:
Michael "Mick" Bradshaw
Chris "blackmane" Kinnair
Jonathan "raz" Baker
Bas "SKO" Dirks
Daniel "'Zenith" Johansen
Kenneth "plaZma" Aulie (inactive)
| Statement Jonathan "raz" Baker: We've taken Zenith onboard this team as we think he will allow us to keep our stability and maintain our activity as plazma had no motivation to play the game we had to find a 5th that was good enough to take plazmas spot and be able to have the motivation to win. In Zenith we saw this and offered him the chance to join us for these summer LANs, we hope that Zenith has a long and exciting time in Dignitas. |
| Statement Daniel "Zenith" Johansen: Hey, I'm Daniel Johansen, I'm 16 and I'm studing my A levels, I used to be a player of the Oslo Lions team but due to my activity and their activity, it really conflicted and it just didn't feel right for me. After playing with raz for some time, he approached me with an offer to attend all these three LANs and be within a top European team as sadly one of their players had no motivation to play the game. Before the three major summer LANs now I've taken up this offer it's going to be a big one to fill. I'd like to thank Dignitas for giving me this opportunity to play on the highest level and also thank Dignitas sponsers as they are helping me get to these places. |
