Blizzard releases patch 1.22

The long awaited and highly anticipated patch 1.22 for Warcraft 3 has finally been released.

Aside from several interesting balance changes, Blizzard has also added a few congenial features for better gameplay, and new ladder maps.

Players will now be able to save replays automatically without using a third-party program.

FEATURES

- There is now a replay auto-save feature in the options menu. Replays
are automatically saved to the "replay" folder.
- Added an option to always show unit and building health bars.
- You can now enable and disable the display of minimap signals
from players and other observers using chat commands:
/showminimapsignals and /hideminimapsignals.
- The game is now automatically saved in the event of a potential
disconnect. These saved games are placed in the "save" folder


BALANCE CHANGES

HUMAN
- Scout Tower repair rate changed from 12 to 20.
- Knight damage increased: Attack cooldown changed from 1.50 to
1.40 and base damage increased from 25 to 28 (Average damage is 34).

UNDEAD
- Increased Ziggurat base armor from 1 to 5.
- Reduced the build time of the Necropolis from 120 to 100.

NIGHT ELF
- Reduce the Orb of venom poison duration from 10 seconds to 8 seconds.
- Increase the experience gain from Dryads from Level 2 (40xp) to
Level 3 (60 xp).

FIXES


- The cooldown on unlimited usable items (example: the staff of
preservation) now persists after the item is dropped or traded.
- A cooldown exploit with potions has been fixed.
- When you unburrow a Crypt Fiend, its auto-cast will no longer be toggled
off.
- An exploit bug in which items could lose their cooldowns when transferred
between heroes has been fixed.


ADDITIONAL MAPS

Furthermore, these 4 new contest winner maps will be included in the final patch, but not on the PTR:
- (2)MeltingValley
- (2)RoadToStratholme
- (4)CentaurGrove
- (4)TidewaterGlades

Don't talk like Elf's now has zero chance vs ud. Ud get more xp and you will still get your exe meanwhile ur teching to tier 2 =)

Hmm okay, but unfortunately barely no improvement on the tallons vs. orc strategy.. however, good for Moon!! ^^

I'm curious about how the changes work on HU vs. UD. Mb the undead-expansion now stands a chance + HU expanding should be slightly more difficult.
However, I cannot understand how they could not change the experience lvl of tanks (they are exp-lvl 1, aren't they?).. takes hours to kill one and gives less exp then a grunt.. T_T

They still kept the weird (and plain false) description of the Human tower change ...
The repair RATE has been _REDUCED_. A rate is how fast something is changing/occuring. Since the towers now need a lot more time to repair, the rate at which peasants are repairing the tower has been reduced. The repair TIME, however, has been increased...

Also:

between heroes has been fixed.

Haha, _could_ lose their cooldowns ><. Every item with a cooldown lost their cooldown as far as I can tell. This is actually a pretty serious nerf to the staff of preservation and teleportation for Elf... (they use that combo a lot to staff out heroes and get them back).

Uhm, when I update via Battle.net it says my game version is 1.22.0.6328... Did some dev put a beta build online :D?

A rate is not necessarily a quotient of a physical quantity and time. They define repair rate the other way round, as time in seconds per repairing the building's full hit points with one peon (which obviously is a rate; the definition is even more general). That is misleading, though not false..

something bad that happened to dota i don't know if it is the patch or if it is just a bug in the game is that Juggernaut's hotkey doesn't work for his ult (you have to mouse click it) and for some reason the runes dont spawn for me sometimes.

ORC>UD (blademaster not fixed, raiders not fixed, no armour added to DK)
ORC>HUM (towers cant be repaired fast at towerrushing and expanding)

human is baddest race now.

Great patch. And items like tome of exp didnt removed.

Hum<UD?
Are you kidding me? Did you ever saw fast game where Hum is playing Tanks and 30 towers in each expo/base? Wow, nerf for towers... but this is nerf for SCOUT TOWER ONLY, not for Guard towers. The only thing what is nerfed in hum is tower rush and i didn't remember strat where Hum was trying to TR UD, right?

MK -> First hero = freewin at TR

MK first hero, fast creep to lvl with militia, attack when DK of UD is on lvl 2 and your mk is on level 3 + Defend skill to footmans. Stun -> surround, stun -> surround. On EI and TM you easy can get Sobi Mask/+150 to mana.
If DK will try to harras you and deny your creeps, use bolt and surround him.

nothing big changed, ziggs armor from 1 to 5 but nothing changed by burrows, i was waiting for something bigger, they dont care much about warcraft, sad
