WC3 and SC participants for WWI revealed

The Worldwide Invitational is a two-day event bringing together the company and gamers in a convention atmosphere where gamers get a chance to try World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King and StarCraft II, Discussion panels with Blizzard developers, Competitive and casual player tournaments and much more.

Eight of the best Warcraft 3 and Starcraft players have been invited to take part in these tournament which features Korea, South Nightelves MYM]Moon, Netherlands Orc MYM]Grubby,

Ukraine Terran MYM.Strelok and China Zerg MYM.f91.

List of participants taking part in the WWI 2008 Warcraft 3 tournament.

In the Warcraft 3 tournament we will see the following players:

China Human WE.Pepsi.Sky
Korea, South Nightelves MYM]Moon
Netherlands Orc MYM]Grubby
China Orc Mouz.Fly100%
France Human Mouz.ToD
Orc SK.Lyn
Undead FoV
Sweden SaSe

In the StarCraft tournament we will see the following players:

Germany Zerg ToT)Mondragon(
Ukraine Terran MYM.Strelok
China Zerg MYM.f91
United State- Terran eStro.IdrA

Rumours say that one of those Koreans will participate:
Korea, South Zerg JaeDong or
Protoss Bisu
+ 2 further Koreans

ToD and Bisu are the defending Champions and will be looking to defend their titles from last year’s victory.

Can ToD win it with his condition? Or will there be another "I don't feel like playing" from him.

And where are guys like Soju and Infi as well as legends like ReMinD and HoT. Same with TH000 did they not watch PGL? I thought it was 16 players not eight.

Blizzard WWI always invite 8 players in SC and WC3. And as to the list above, they can't have all the best wc3 players so they just picked 8. I think the invited players are among the best atm, was hoping to see infi though, and damn just 1 undead?... Getting the two best players of each race would have been better imho. friends may come and go, enemies accumulate... gg

Considering the fact that there is an very important ShinHan Proleague match between South Korean Telecom (bisu) and Lecaf (jaedong) and seeing Bisus and Jaedongs performance in the Proleague so far, I think Jaedong is more important for Lecaf than Bisu for SKT. So I guess Bisu will come.

It would be nice to see other names there. Instead of Sky- infi or TH000, Instead of moon- Soccer Instead of Lyn- Who, Focus Instead of FoV- Reign, lucifer, TeD (even) Instead of grubby- Happy perhaps or some other young talent in Europe I think raising talents don't get enough chances to express their value.
