MYM in the MST foreigner finals

The MYM.sc squad and myMYM.com were selected as team and community site to participate in the Internationa- Multi Site Tour. After the group stages finished, team Denmark MYM managed to score 2 flawless victories against United State- 50CaL/LighT and Hungary Face2Face, while losing 2-3 to the Germany Templars of Twilight.

However, the battles are not over yet, as team Portugal Excello awaits; should our StarCraft team be victorious on Saturday, they will be facing the Korean professional team Korea, South eStro on June 28th.

Here is how the two teams managed to get here:

Lol honestly I really like our time and I thing its very strong. But beating a korean pro team? Thats not possible. It might be close if mym has strong line up and eStro use their B players and Idra but I dont think MYM can win.

First, grats to xLo and GL vs estro. I hope you can give them a tough fight. But as i already mentioned in the last interview: We want to find the best foreign team but the rules are so strict that they really affect the results. I don’t want to be unthankful but a bit more flexibility would have been great... There was really no reason why we couldn't change the players for the finals. Even one single replace for a missing player was forbidden. Both teams should have the chance to play with their best lineup and we shouldn't get punished that Dreiven, White-ra and F91 represented MYM and the foreign scene in China. So all in all: nice event, bad organisation

To Max:

1. Yes, finding the best foreign team is what this was about.

2. Changing players once you get to the finals is not allowed, as stated in the rules b4 the event started 3 weeks ago, and is also rude to the players who were already in the event since the begining, then you switching them about for players who are better than them but who didn't play any matches to get where your team is currently at.

Yes, there was a reason, it's because I wanted the same 5 players playing throughout the whole event, not for people to change players when they got far enough in the tournament to their better players.

4. I messaged Deto, Archi, and Vhallee on MSN and told them that I was aware both teams would be missing 1 player each in the finals, and it was okay to replace that 1 person with another person, as long as both teams agreed. Nothing ended up happening.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked the event.
As for the bad organization, I am the organizer of this event, which means you're saying I did a bad job at organizing my own tournament, when I had followed my own rules.

The organization was perfect, it's the rules you don't like, which is a big difference.

you do understand executing bad rules flawlessly doesnt mean you did a good job, anyway i dont know much on this case so i wont pick sides. If force won't work, use greater force.

I dont like the rules cause they are making no sense in my eyes. They even affect the results, especially yesterday. The teams should decide who play for them. We had to use a couple of other players cause we didnt want to risk freewins in the groupstage. It was fine in the first round but Dreiven, White-ra and F91 were rdy to play yesterday and the best lineups on both sides is the basic requirement to find the best foreign team and to give both teams equal opportunities...

Hmm, I also liked the event and the 'price' is something special that gave the teams some extra motivation. The rule that who have to name which players you want to use has also something positive, and just the case of MYM it showed also its negative sides - though I understand PR, since he didn't expect that before. I think a good way would be to keep the rule that you have to select which players u wanna use, but that you can define more players for your lineup, like 6 or 8 players. Then it would more represent the 'whole' team and there is a possibility to play always with the best lineup, even if someone has no time or is on an offline event (what sadly doesnt happen so often in SC). Every first tournament was never perfect, but there are always changes to improve and to learn :) Some ppl come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay ever!

GJ Excello but rulles realy not good. We have many turnay and some times cant meke best line up, but in the final MYM can make best line up and show good game. My opinion 1.Good inevt 2.Good work for admins 3.BAD Rules

yeah just like crow said we'd better have about 2 or 3 substitutions in each team which can provide the chance to play in such an interesting event like this to the other players in team. and that also means all of teams will have more choices who will play or they can play with flexibility ===> the event will be more fun. just my opinion, nice event though gj mym and gl excello with their match against eSTRO ;) - My dream is to come into being such a sunlight -
