One of PriDe 10's underdog, Met has just signed with Plus46 Gaming. We sat down with the leader, Plus46|Zenition and his manager, Scream about the new sponsorship.

Met's popularity has steadily increased in the competitive scene after knocking out Ks and SGC, in MYM Prime Defending #10. It seems Maelk was right in his interview when he claimed they would be one of DotA's upcoming teams. They proved this theory correct after taking a 4th place finish as a newly reformed team.

After a successful finish in PriDe, they have also qualified for the highly anticipated Prime Defending League which will be starting soon.

Interview with Plus46|Zenition and manager, Scream:

Well first off, congrats on the new sponsor Zenition! So how did the sponsorship happen with Plus46, did they approach you?

Plus46|Zenition: Thank you. Yes, actually Scream contacted us just before MYM PD10, and the negotiations have been underway during the entire tournament.

What is the history of your team anyway? How did you guys form!

Plus46|Zenition: Funny story actually. The team has evolved from team-kM (as some might remember) consisting of alot of IRL mates who wanted to play more than public dota. Once players started dropping from the team, we started recruiting new players, all whom we had some kind of connection to. The first was Smiske (who one of our players knew through WoW), who then brought in StoDDeReN (a mate from dota-league). Then Smiske brought in eatenfish, who brought in miGGel, and so forth. To sum up, here we are, 2 years and 2 name changes later, and the only one that remains from team kM is myself.

How did they hear about your team? So they wanted to see your performance in PriDe before signing you?

Plus46|Scream: Actually we did look around quite a bit for what teams we thought would be interested and such. The hard part was to find a team with the momentum going and that wasnt allready under contract. We actually approached 2 teams when we thought we had found the right ones. One of them being Team Met. And almost from the very beginning we felt that Team Met had the best possibility to perform on the level we want them to. Which I guess they proved very well when reaching 4th place in Prime Defending.

Does the new team have any plans for ESWC? It's a shame there's no Danish qualifier, have they applied for Paris?

Plus46|Scream: We are looking into it. With the last pieces just fallen into place, its actully very close to that event when it comes to planning and such. But we are working on it but cant say anything for certain just yet.

Plus46|Zenition: We've been talking back and forth about pro's and con's for attending ESWC Masters Paris. So far we have applied for one of the ten international spots - and I guess we will pick up from there.

Does the team have any other plans for LAN events if ESWC does not work out?

Plus46|Zenition: We have been trying to see whether attending DreamHack Summer was a possibility. But it seems it is virtually impossible, interefering with exams, vacations and so on. We will however, be attending DreamHack Winter, if nothing before that.

Plus46|Scream: We are also looking at DH Summer wich also is just arround the corner. Other then that, we are certain to go to DH Winter. And as Zenition said, there are those issues when planning events for the summer.

Are you looking forward to PDL? What are your expectations for the league?

Plus46|Zenition: We are very much looking forward to Prime Defending League, which was one of our biggest goals for PD10 - reaching top12 and qualifying. And I think I can safely say that we really proved ourselves as being one of the best teams in the world - and of course we look forward to proving this once again.

What other leagues and tournaments does your team participate in? Can we expect Plus46 to participate in the 4th myMYM mock draft? ;)

Plus46|Zenition: To be honest I don't really know much about these mock drafts. It's an exciting initative, and will be fun to see if it be a succes, but I can surely say that we are not a team to turn down a challenge, even if it is just a mock draft Currently we're participating in playoffs in dota-vip cup, pick league and hopefully EMS (we're tied in our group with srs and SGC) - and of course, PDL.

Has your team played on 6.52 at all? What do you feel on it being implemented into leagues/tournaments?

Plus46|Scream: I'm one of those that thinks that one should always try to go with the latest version of things. So as it beeing implemented into leagues and tournaments, thas the way it should be.

Plus46|Zenition: Personally I'm not really fond of 6.52 at the moment, (everyone in sceptic about changes at first I guess) - But it will undoubtedly be very interesting to see how the changes affects the more competitive dota playstyle.
