Once again Virtus.Pro reigned supreme in the ASUS Spring 2008. The finale between Wolker Gaming and Virtus.Pro was simply remarkable. VP showed us a thing or two on how to micro 2 heroes at the same time in big team battles, when blowyourbrain was disconnected on the 43 minute mark of the game.

Bear in mind that blowyourbrain was using a hero with 4 active spells with 2 active items (Bottle and Eul’s Scepter of Dvinity). The degree of difficulty was really high, but, despite of the evident disadvantage, Virtus.Pro chose to continue the match.

Why did VP choose to continue the match? Out of pride? Perhaps, or maybe VP just felt that they had the upper hand and greater chance of winning the match over WG, which some of us didn't see.

Game Analysis:

Top lane, VP was really out farmed by WG. Slithice even managed to draw first blood on Akasha. After the 10 minute mark, Tiny and Akasha's creep stat was only 14/3 and 9/7 while Mirana and Slithice's was 13/5 and 21/8, that's really a big gap.

Same thing for VP at the bottom lane, or even worse, Zeus and Necrolyte was killed a bunch of times by Jakiro and Rexxar from early to mid game. Zeus and Necrolyte was outfarmed and out leveled as well. Rexxar was able to farm freely since Zeus and Necrolyte was not so much of a threat for him and Jakiro was able to assist him well.

Bradwarden was able to farm at mid but Anub'arak farmed better.

At the 16 minute mark, Slithice, Anub'arak and Rexxar's creep stats were already above 40, while for VP only Bradwarden managed to do so and the rest was below 30.

It was really looking bleak for VP from early to middle of the game. WG had full map control on mid game and was leading with 4 kills, 28-24.

It was even more bleak when blowyourbrain was disconnected on the 43 minute mark, but still they managed to turn the tide. Lot of great team plays on both parties. One thing that really was extraordinary was the calculated risk VP made at the 48 minute mark of the game, when both WG and VP pushed for the final tower simultaneously. VP managed to defend the tower and at the same time destroyed the bottom barracks of WG.

Outstanding Player of the Game:

Virtus.Light - Ending with 10 kills and only 3 deaths, managed to farm an 11 minute Hood of Defiance and ended with a Reaver, Dagger, Radiance, Plate Armor, Boots of Travel and 6068 gold. Despite Anub'arak's dominance all over the map, Virtus.Light was able to evade unnecessary deaths, which enabled him to farm up for his items.
