MYM and Mouz will start off the Mock Draft series tonight at 20:00 CET! A panel of judges will be present during the hero drafting and the game will be streamed live on GGTV!

MYM and Mouz will draft heroes on IRC for 6.52 with the panel of judges present. The judges will evaluate both team's drafts and discuss the picks and final product. We will present to you a thorough evaluation of both team's drafts so you can see competition in two aspects, the drafting and the game!

The game will be using MYM Prime Defending rules, except for the additional ban of course. No hero is banned except for Invoker (as he is not included in -XL yet).

The drafting was really wierd to be honest, I had a strategy in mind then I realized there was one more ban. The map and the idea is brilliant, I see no reason to play 48b anymore in leagues. We won first game fairly easy, we got good picks and dominated them hard early into late game, beastmaster was a brilliant pick there. Second game we also had a dominating early game, they picked omniknight and when it came to team fights we failed so much, we had a plan but didnt execute it well enough, sleep and focus, but it was only theory. Maelk also got really good farm which of course was affecting us hard too ;) The major difference from 48b is that its funnier, you can't dodge fights as easy anymore and this leads to another type of gaming - a gaming type that at least I like alot. Even so I believed that remaking the dagger would make the game slower it might be the opposite, that the game gets faster instead. But overall I havent decided if I like the final change, but I like the new map for sure!

Playing the newest map competively was interesting. I was suprised that so much have actually changed in competitive play, compared to the old version. I have played the new version alot in pubs, but it's something entirely different playing it organized. I expect it to take some time for teams to adapt to the new map; They must consider the new items and heroes, and if they ignore them it is at their own peril. Beastmaster is even more imba in the newest version seeing that it now cost 200 more gold to deploy the wards, and I am of the opinion the bird should either be made visible or be replaced by another summon/spell. We did try a little crazy mass AOE strat in first game, which didn't work out as we had expected. Second game Mouz managed to counter our omni pick with Naga, an underrated hero. It was a suprising yet good pick from their side, and it worked well. Fortunately Jacob managed to farm in the middle and, with the help of some nice gangs from fear, severely outfarmed Drow. The turning point was bottom where we managed to get a really good fight off, and some might say that was due to Shiva's Guard. Mock draft is an interesting way to find out what is going to be imbalanced tomorrow, and I look forward to seing other teams face off in this event.
