Houston has a problem
While numerous B-movies have tried to paint the picture of a world without electronics because of sudden destruction of all electronics, nothing has come close to that scenario. Until now that is. Originally reported by Associated Press, the NASA's Johnson Space Center and the Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas, are now threatened by ants.
Yes, ants. The "crazy rasberry ants", which has gotten the nickname because of their erratically wandering, are giving authorities a hard time. While they feed on plants, ladybugs and their rivals "fire ants", they also like the taste of electronics. Much to the surprise of scientists the "Paratrenicha", as the ant is called in Latin, has been ruining sewage pumping stations, getting into computers and causing firealarms to misfunction.
According to experts, the billions of ants will be impossible to exterminate, as they are spred over a very large area. Even worse, retail ant killers are not enough to kill the ants, something which has sounded the alarm at The Texas Department of Agriculture.

Hope they won't get into some industrial waste disposal station or other toxic stuff. We can get some giant killer ants known from C&C Red Alert that way.

in my opinion, it's bad, but not that bad. i would really fear them if those ants get a taste of criminal activity: next step would be stealing and re-selling the computer parts in the suburbs, raping the employees, or imposing a protection tax:

Man, it's so hilarious that one of the smallest creatures in nature is the cause of such uncommon problem...but wait, that's not what I called hilarious before.. the really impressive irony in this statement is that this crisis took none but US ground to take place. The ultra-mega-evolved country in the whole damn world. While ants are eating computers parts they're bombing someone else's country and Homer still getting drunk on his couch.
