Doubt Doom 4 will come close adn, Doom 3 never really hit the spot so it's not like >80% of the gamers are waiting for it ( atleast that's what i think) pretty sick acompishment tho, go go GTA4 (haven't got it, and probably not gonna buy it either :P)

It may be a better game than Doom3 but lke you say, its for a smaller market than GTA :) I too haven't got GTA and probably wont buy it, the novelty wears off after a week and then you just get the cheat codes out and mindlessly kill people! only dead fish go with the flow... I think GTA is more like Overrated, the only thing i can see my friends doing is driving like an maniac and killing peapol i think the game has no point at all, but that is not actualy true though. The only thing i do when playing the game is parashuting down a hotel, and see how low i can go before pulling the rope. xD
