DreamHack is known to be the world's largest computer festival and event - held twice a year in Jönköping, Sweden. This summer's event will include a new investment, namely an international Counter-Strike Source tournament with some of the best teams in the world, together in cooperation with Spelarenan.se
There will even be qualifications for the tournament in Sweden, Denmark and Germany. The tournament will contain 32 teams, 8 of which are granted a trip to Sweden. DreamHack management is promising an international competitive prize sum.
We witnessed Made in Brazil bringing home approximately $18,000 in prize money for winning the Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament last winter. The operational capability for a Source tournament is rather good after the start of Championship Gaming Series, and it will hopefully entice some CGS teams.
