wooSai brings home OptoLAN

OptoLAN, as it's called, has been held in Karlskrona, Sweden this weekend with approximately 600 participants with focus on Counter-Strike 1.6. The organizers were enticing teams with a total prize pool of $5,500. Most of the teams that attended were unknown, but wooSai from Denmark took the time to take part in the event. Begrip would have also been there if it wasn't for the ESWC pre-qualifier in Gothenburg.

Seeing it as an easy victory for wooSai, the team has not shown too impressive results in the current season of Danish Esports League, where they are positioned on a fifth place. With six straight victories in the group stage the team could secure a place in the grand final. wooSai had it quite rough on the first map in the grand final, which was inferno. Unfortunately, they lost the inferno game with 7 rounds against 16 to the relatively unknown team sChEnArEy.

After an equalization on nuke, wooSai could once again take control of the game and put an end to it on dust2 and will therefore travel home to Denmark being $4,100 richer.

wooSai's way through the event:

vs. Sweden starLike (16-9)
vs. Sweden Iskall (16-4)
vs. Sweden sChEnArEy (16-1)
vs. Sweden meNimati (16-5)
vs. Sweden fanboyz (16-3)
vs. Sweden SouthBoys! (16-10)
vs. Sweden sChEnArEy (7-16, 22-18, 16-4)
