As earlier written, the Electronic Sports World Cup is holding a second pre-qualification in Gothenburg, Sweden for semi-professional teams. It's a chance for them to proof themselves and win tickets and spots to Dreamhack Summer 2008, where the big Swedish ESWC qualification is being held. An earlier pre-qualification was held in Skellefteå during the Dreamhack event where both SK-Gaming and Playzone grabbed the spots.
Begrip Gaming is mostly the only known team and is valued to win this pre-qualification, however, the semi-professional teams shouldn't be underestimated. The tournament is divided into two parts, group-stages and a single-elimination bracket. Maps such as inferno, nuke and train will be played during the group play.
Teams that are attending the ESWC pre-qualifier this weekend:
Begrip Gaming
