Beijing E-Sports Team has confirmed the release of Check, who has decided not to renew the contract, following a one-year spell with the organization.

The old-school player formerly played for teams like wNv Teamwork, World Elite and, most notably, the dominant FrienZ.

Check played an integral role in BET’s undefeated WC3L run by scoring 7 wins out of 8 games in 1on1s, and was also a constant 2v2 partner with Orc player, whO.

Team manager, Erica told SGamer: “Today, BET will be releasing one of our Korean Night elves, Check. His contract with us has expired, and we have decided not to renew it.

“Check is a very strong NE player and it’s sad that he had to leave us. But we will always remember him.

“Finally, we would like to wish him the best in his future career.”

Update: Meanwhile, the 22-year-old has dispelled all rumours linking him with the Korean military, which is compulsory for all males in Korea.

He told exclusively to myMYM.com: “I am now studying in a university as well, which allows me to further postpone my military service longer. However, I will be concentrating more on playing the game than on my studies.”

Check has also opted not to comment on the situation with BET, but reveals that he will be joining a team, which is to be revealed later today.

He added: “I don't want to talk about it, but you will see later today."

“I may not be the best WC3 player right now, but I am practicing hard to achieve that goal.”

Update #2: The Korean elf will be joining mTw.PokerRoom. He told the team's official site: “The reason why I decided to join mTw is that my contract with BeT has just expired and I was searching for a new team to play for."

“mTw contacted me and after some negotiations, we have reached an agreement and it is a pleasure for me to join mTw. Therefore I will try to start out fresh again by practicing very hard and show good results in the future. Thank you!”
