In one of the highlighted matches of the preliminaries before the Top 16 emerges in a double elimination playoff, defending champions Virtus.Pro was up against European outfit ROSA.

The much anticipated start of
Virtus.Pro’s Pride title defense had a few questions lingering around it. Would VP be rusty after an extended layoff? Would upstart and European fan favorite
RoSA shock the world? Or would VP just come into the match with weapons blazing and never look back?
Turned out to be the latter. In all areas VP dominated the game. Things seemed to go sour at the start for RoSA. RoSA decided to put Spectre in the middle lane solo rather than have Beastmaster solo and put Spectre with Twin Headed Dragon. This gamble for a faster farm did not pay off. VP controlled middle lane and Spectre with the combination of Sand King and Leshrac.
Although Spectre was not getting killed, he was not farming either. Unfortunately for RoSA, not farming was a common occurrence. For almost the entire match four VP members were out farming Spectre, by far RoSA’s most farmed character.
The gank phase of the match dominated the playtime. Even the final pushes that took down RoSA’s rax were not full team pushes rather split team pushes originating from ganks. Of course, ganking is VP’s trademark and they exploited their advantage time and time again. Numerous times RoSA would be ganking a VP hero only to have the VP cavalry ride in and annihilate RoSA. More times than not, RoSA’s ganks backfired completely, a tribute to VP’s domination of the map and impeccable timing.
No single moment was critical to the outcome of the game. It was more of a slow bleed that RoSA simply could not stop. Eventually too much blood was lost and everything just crumbled. No matter what RoSA did, VP was hacking at the wound from all angles, making sure it did not close up.
The game ended after RoSA’s top and middle rax had been destroyed and RoSA ff’d.

There we some things that caused it for ROSA, except the part of Virtus.Pro being a good team. Spectre solo without Babysitter. Although sometimes it work but some other times the harras is just so bad that it's regreted. Spectre took Desolate early. Which lead to the nice Double kill but then in team fights it didn't help at all. AyuFan tried to assist to much with spectre rather then doing as Vigoss and going to a free lane and free farm for radiance. Their wards did not cover some important Area's of the map. The mistake many team do against big teams like Virtus.pro is when a hero walks in the Area of the ward do not assume that he isn't going to have back-up. ROSA member usually walking alone where they were caught by Virtus.pro and killed. To many greedy attempt on kills or Running one by one in a team fight and dying one by one. Late cast on ulti and Stuns. And way to much focus on NS vengeful spirit.

Imo this game wasn't bad at all, for a team ( ROSA ) which is a friend's clan since 2 weeks or more, they didn't practise so much and nevertheless they've shown skill during this pride. With more practise, i'm sure they will be a very good team in the next pride.

It was an embarassing slow-rape where my pickings failed so hard. If i decide to bring ROSA or a new team for next pride im gonna make sure we at least practise some games with a bit more motivated lineup (we played 3 fw's except for the clangames and had no strategy except rice-farming relying on better lasthits - bound to fail against vp)

Actually the game was pretty bad for ROSA. They started overall, ganging and getting kills during laning but basically I think after time hit close to 20 minutes It all went down hill for them. Vigoss 30 minute radiance farm and winning basically all their team fights it was GG for them.
