EM: Last playday commences

After losing his first game to KemPeR, Denmark Ciara bounced back to take three consecutive wins over SaSe, Satiini and Protois. Tonight he can crown his magnificent comeback with a fourth victory in a row, and secure an elimination-match against KnOfF, XyLigan or NightWOlf.

Going into the last playday, Satiini, Protois and Ciara are tied with 9 points for 4 games. Ciara can't win the group though, as his map-difference would be insufficient in the event of a tie in points.

That means that the winner of the group will be the winner of the game between Finland Satiini and Germany Protois. The loser of the match will most probably drop down to the 3rd place, should Ciara manage to win against TRH.c-club.

Another player who could secure his first place tonight is Netherlands Grubby. Having an undefeated record with 3 victories in 3 matches, Grubby just needs to win the mirror against Russian Fede- Rob to qualify for the playoffs. The only players that have already qualified for the playoffs are the undead duo of Russian Fede- Happy and Finland elfittaja.

There are 7 games scheduled to be played today, while Grubby and fire_de will close the Extreme Masters Groupstage at the Intel Friday Night Game in Cologne tomorrow.

Yeah and a shame that he dropped too many maps to go out as winner. Especially since whoever is going to top him, has lost to him :(
