Team Sweden has made several adjustments to its roster in view of the upcoming European Nation Championships, which is scheduled to commence later this month.

Former BioXar and Excello manager and WC3L administrator, Tom 'EndarS' Bramler has been brought on board to lead the squad along with PGS.PokerStrategy manager, triMble. The latter had previously revealed plans to step down as manager for Sweden, but has apparently decided to remain in the team.

EndarS told exclusively to myMYM.com: “After the last season, triMble anounced that he would step down as the manager for team Sweden, which left the team without any leader. I believe that I probably was the natural replacement for him since I have a good relationship with the guys in the squad and  have been working very hard within the Warcraft-community for the last couple years.

“Now triMble is back and we are going to take care of the team together this season.”

While the Swedish Night elf duo, GLaiVe and SaSe were the first to feel the force of EndarS’ cull after being removed from the team, 16-year-old BioXar player EfFeCt has been added to the roster along with DowaQ, who has recently made a name for himself at DreamHack Winter.

“Glaive has not been active over the past season and we felt that it was best to give room to some new and hungry players,” EndarS explained.

“Regarding SaSe, it's mainly because of some financial problems within the team. It's a decision taken by both the team and himself."

“Effect is a young and very talented Human player. We decided to add him to the squad since he is extremely motivated which is exactly what the team needs. And we are 100% sure that he will develop into something really big under the upcoming season. He has a good relationship with the guys and he fits perfectly into the chemistry of the squad.”

He adds: “ElakeDuck showed really impressive results at the last Dreamhack and we don’t want to make any rush decisions. Both triMble and I do not have any contact with him anymore, but personally I don’t think he plays anymore. We just want to make sure before we make any final decision.”

On the contrary, SaSe was also contacted for a statement and the Mousesports player disclaimed that he was oblivious to being removed from the Swedish ENC roster, and that the team is still in debt of the player’s prize money.

He said: “The Swedish team owes me from the 2 times we won (FROM TRIMBLE) in ENC. He still have yet to pay me (still he spend money on pushing some guy into a TV and pays for it, and he also can afford spending his money on going to Sweden).

“I asked to split some of the money that we could possibly earn based on performance.

“It sucks when the whole team drinks like hell before final (except me). And then lose to Finland who attended a LAN for the first time ever in their life.”

Team Sweden had consistently won the European Nations Championships every year, until they were finally stopped by Finland's relatively young squad in 2007.
