The KeSPA Rankings for the month of February is here with some new changes. Let's see what we have this month:

Most of us might wonder how come Bisu is ranked first after his recent losses? He hasn’t been exactly in shape, right? Wrong. The main thing is that since he is in such a good shape, his wins look like something normal, while his losses really stand out. He can still be called the best Korean player at the moment, even though he hasn’t exactly showed it.


Right after Bisu we have Stork, who keeps switching places with him for quite some time; it’s like they both want to see what is it like to be first, then step down a bit from the throne. Stork continues to be that PvT machine we all know, and since there are plenty of Terrans to pick from, his results have a good fuel source.


JaeDonG, this new Zerg revelation, is still the 3rd best player according to KeSPA, after some great display of skill. After covering that ZvP loophole, he now seems to be the best player around and 1st place might only be a matter of time: he keeps adding points and let’s not forget that there is a sizeable difference between the first two Protoss players and the rest.


sAviOr is still ranked 4th, but many of you might wonder why; he’s been doing quite bad lately (let’s not forget his terrible loss against Chalrenge) and he doesn’t seem to have recovered. It’s been so long that he might actually be considered to remain at this level. His dominating days seem too far away to be remembered and his individual results make it worse, not to mention the fact that CJ Entus basically risks a match by putting sAviOr in the 1v1 lineup.


Sea seems to be doing very well lately; whether it is the MSL, the OSL or the ProLeague, he doesn’t seem to have a week match-up and he’s surely one of the backbones of MBCGame HERO. He is not only on a good level, but he is actually improving with each passing match, making himself look like the tough opponent that he is.


AnyTime’s last games were just a bad dream for his opponents: if Best wouldn’t have stopped his winning spree, he would be at something around 10 consecutive wins, which says a lot about this latest AnyTime. He is a trusty player when it comes to Lecaf OZ’s ProLeague roster and his MSL performance is really not that bad. He just entered Top 10 and he might actually be getting back to the AnyTime we all knew a few years ago if he keeps it up.

YellOw[ArnC]’s twin brother, Luxury, managed to do the undoable: he surpassed him and he’s actually getting better and better, getting 4 spots higher than the other month. If there weren’t a ZvP matchup, this guy would be much higher. Even though the ZvT matchup is considered to be the gosu-deciding one, Luxury, just like JaeDonG, has problems in this department. His ZvZ is just too good to be true and his ZvT is something that cannot be ignored.


NaDa is back, ladies and gentlemen! And we were all wondering when this would happen… He didn’t actually steamrolled his opponents, but he has surely awakened from that slump. Gaining 1 spot this month, he did not do the impossible, but he showed there is perspective in a very cloudy situation.

Another big improvement is called DarkElf, ranked 17th, which means 5 spots higher than he was in January. Although at first he didn’t seem anything special, he carried on. He is not exactly the most original or entertaining Terran player, but he gets the job done. Excepting his TvP, DarkElf is actually an upcoming CJ Entus big gun, with great results in the ProLeague.

The 3rd part of the ranking hosts 4 special cases. The first one is SK Telecom T1’s JulyZerg, who showed the world that he still knows the word “win” from time to time. Defeating Bisu or YellOw[ArnC] is no easy task, but July did it. Aside from the ProLeague, where we barely had the chance to see him play, he managed to be present at both the OSL and the MSL this time. Could it be that the God of War is alive again? Well he certainly seems to be better than last month and these 9 spots he just gained are the living proof.


The second case is the best “in your face” answer to the question “can you play 2v2 and actually be considered good?”. Flower is certainly not a brilliant 1v1 player but his 2v2 coordination just gave him a +8 to his ranking, making him climb up to the 24th position this month. OnGameNet Sprkyz knows that he is a key 2v2 player and you will see him in most of the team’s 2v2 roster for the ProLeague.

TheRock is the third player that manages to jump a significant amount of spots, getting 26th in February. His PvZ is still a problem, but he tries to compensate it with an above-average PvT and a relatively steady PvP; he showed some nice performances defeating Sea, Midas and Flash, so he’s definitely not the underdog anymore. He’s not great but he surely is working on it.


The last situation is not exactly a happy one: we’re talking about iloveoov. His MSL results were very disappointing and his ProLeague performance was below expectations, to say the least. The worst part is that since he will be appointed coach for SK Telecom T1, he will not be attending any major events so this might very well be his last month in the Top 30 KeSPA Rankings.
