The orcish powerhouse Joona 'Konna' Parikka from the Scandinavian Warcraft squad of MeetYourMakers took part in the Assembly Winter 2007 LAN event, in Tampere, Finland, this past weekend from the 27th to the 29th April. The Warcraft III tournament was hosted together with the World Cyber Games organization.

Konna faced some tough opponents in the tournament, where eight of the best Finnish players were to fight for the grand prize of 500€. However, only six of the eight players showed up, which made the tournament proceed a bit faster than expected.

First off Konna faced the Finnish undead player Buser, and was able to beat him without any big difficulties. In the second round, which also was the semifinal, Konna met the most recent pick-up of the Fnatic Team: elfittaja. As expected by many, Konna was once again able to take down his undead adversary, hence securing a spot in the grand final, where he was overwhelmed by fnatic.Satiini's elven army, and eventually he had to call out "gg" making the score 2 to 1 in favour of Satiini.

Even though Konna lost the grand final to Satiini, he still received a fair amount of 150€. All the three grand final games were recorded live by GameTV and hopefully the VODS will be released in the near future.
